31 Wolf Lane 6000, Perth
Best tapas in Perth
In March I booked a table for June. Confirming on their booking request that I need wheelchair accessable. After 7 emails and 4 confirmations by phone they ring me as we are arriving in the city to state we only have high tables none suitable for a wheelchair. This is pure discrimination So disgusted with this place. Don't book here as there are so many better managed places in Perth city.
Good dining environment and atmosphere. The meals are delicious, but the Spanish dishes are usually small so the average personal consumption will be higher.
The croquettes were AMAZING, patatas bravas were spicy but not that flavoursome, Iberian ham was fatty and not that flavoured as well, the paella Valencia was also lacking flavour/spice however the squid ink paella was DELICIOUS!! WE should have ordered more of that. Cocktails took forever to be made and delivered to our table - however the Pisco Sour was also delicious. The staff were extremely friendly & approachable however the wait for food and drinks was slightly ridiculous. The price for everything was also higher than normal and not necessarily worth it. Though it is a great location. Toilets are not disabled friendly.
Great paella! Delicious tapas! Jeanβs gin and tonics are a must!
Jean makes the best cocktails!! Would recommend the Gingerbread martini :)
Very disappointing. More than half of the menu items listing on their website are not available and what they do have is satisfactory at best. And all the food is extremely over priced for what you get. The only saving grace is the cocktails are delicious.
An incredible atmosphere with lovely staff, I thoroughly recommend trying them out if you have the opportunity.
First time eating at The Spaniard and I will definitively be back. We ordered almost all the tapas available and they were all great. I went with three Aussie male friends that can eat a lot and they all loved it and left the restaurant full and satisfied. The gin tonics are also nice, served in balloon glasses (not so common to find here). The staff were really nice, Jennifer made sure we had everything we needed, friendly and very helpful whilst also providing us with the space to enjoy our dinner. In summary, great tapas and lovely evening.
Great small place for a wine or two and delicious tapas. The confit mushrooms were absolutely delicious. Soooo good.
