What an obnoxious place. Rude staff, bouncer and bar staff. Horrible food. And they love the doof doof, absolutely zero atmosphere and you just want to be anywhere else.
Fantastic bar right on the water. Good views, nice staff. Decent priced drinks. Good vibe. Had live music as well!

Salad was just excellent, very tasty and crispy wedges. Love it.
The security are incapable of correctly telling if someone is truly intoxicated or not. I was denied entry even though I was completely sober. Hire new security.

Great atmosphere, staff were friendly and food was quick. We ordered the mini cob loaf and beef loaded fries, so good! And great prices too. The fudge brownie for dessert was really nice. The bar/drinks were great. Lines to get in looked long on Saturday night, but we went on Sunday so was quick to get in. Definitely will be back!

In an enviable location by the water, The Pier Bar is somewhat of an institution in Cairns, known for our delicious wood fired pizzas and our relaxed Sundays and our big party events. The Pier Bar is open 11.30am until late every day, serving up sun, fun, lunch, dinner or just drinks!
