The Original Coopers Alehouse

Still one of the best snittys in Adelaide! Yes the price is up but it is 600g with an option for a smaller one. The beef was actually incredibly and the diane gravy was so good! My mates had a chicken parmy also with high praise! Maybe a slight inconsistency with size but you wouldn't know unless you weighed it..so I'm not taking stars off for that! Venue great,solid beer choice, only hard thing is parking as it is in the city but depends on the night and time. But seriously the beef snitty was the GOAT perfect crumbing and not dry at all nor greasy, just right! Chips also crunchy and seasoned well.. salad boring but you don't go for a 600g snitty for the salad haha it's a garnish at that size, Can't wait to go back!

Walked in without a booking and they were happy to fit us in. Food was lovely and the staff was one girl running everything and did the best job pleasing all tables. We have her a tip.

I had heard great things about Coopers Ale House and was excited to be meeting up with friends for lunch. On arrival and almost immediately after sitting at our table we were asked for our drink orders without even being offered a drinks menu. Our food order was taken soon after the arrival of our drinks. I would like to say the food was amazing but I just cant. The whiting was so over battered it made what should be a nice light fish extremely gluggy, the so called parmesan chips that should have been served with it certainly did not have a trace of parmesan at all. The chicken snitzel with mexican topping looked amazing but was quite dull as snittys go. The veg on the kingfish plate was so soggy it was unedible. During the eating of our mains we tried to get the attention of any of the staff that walked past to order more drinks but in the end went up to the bar where the bar tender seemed shocked at someone doing so. The desserts were not much better the Banoffee Tart was tasteless, the best bit about it was the few fresh berries for decoration, however the dessert pizza was enjoyed by some of our table. All in all I doubt We would return after such a disappointing afternoon. By the way if staff from the Coopers Ale House read this review dessert has two s, you might want to spell check your specials sheet!!!
