The Lookout Echo Point

Dropped into The lookout for a coffee after the Cliff top walk. Great coffee (almond n soy available) and yummy banana bread. Selection of hot pastries, sandwiches and light snacks available. Toilets available. Wheelchair access. Bus stop out front and the bus will take you back to scenic world.

Visited cafe and was served quick but it was an absolute rip off. Food wasn’t that great and coffee was average. Won’t be returning here again. If I could give it zero stars I would.

My burger, despite specifically asking for it to be well done, was received lukewarm. The burger was also packed full of pickles to the point where it was pretty much the only thing I could taste. My wife got the charcuterie board and whilst most of the meats were okay, the roast beef (at least that what we think it was) was inedible. The bar staff were also very short and came across as though they were doing us a favour by taking our order. Avoid this place unless you have absolutely no other options.

Good food and friendly staff. Loved the location and the view. The prices are reasonable and the food were of good reasonable size. The only downside was that we had to wait for a long time for our food to arrive.

Nice lookout point, the ambience definitely was the only thing great about this place. The food however was a huge contrast, for both its taste and price, it’s just outrageously bad. Fish and chips smelled like bad oil left for days, the fish meat was obviously frozen given that the texture was hard and stuck together, and the chicken wings was just the burnt right up to its core. Service was great however, the bartender was really polite and friendly. Wouldn’t come to this restaurant unless I’m dropping by out of convenience after wandering around the lookouts.

We had our wedding reception here on 5/9/20. It was the perfect place with amazing views, delicious food and fantastic service. Our guests especially loved the gnocchi. Francy was extremely helpful in organising the event at every stage of the planning. Thanks for making our wedding great!

RIDICULOUSLY tiny coleslaw for $8! 3 bites literally!! But a hug burger with chips for $18. Where's the price value guys? Love it here and come here often for drinks BUT NEVER AGAIN FOR FOOD. Just because you turned me from a happy customer into an unsatisfied one.

My friends and I came to this place on a raining day. 21/Nov/20 around 6 pm. I politely asked for the guy if I could have the menu, and he threw the menu, and I looked like I didn’t understand. He yelled saying:” drinks are everywhere that I could see”. We decided to leave he kept yelling. What’s the reason to be treated like a s*** for such an animal. Bad day for us when someone is too dangerous to be around people!

Beer, good food, good view! The bartender is very friendly! Love the sticky lamb ribs and 4 pine beers. Great spot to dine and few drinks too.
