The Lillipad Cafe

Generally I love the food here and the staff is nice and friendly. But my experience last night was shocking!!! And I will never return nor recommend this place to anyone anymore. Me and my friend was waiting on our order for too long that we inquired on how long more it would take. That's when the staff realised that they had given our order to another table by mistake. We were very hungry but still we were not angry and was willing to wait until the food was prepared again. But the lady bought out our food in under 5mins which then when questioned which she admitted that the SAME FOOD WHICH WAS GIVEN TO THE ANOTHER TABLE WAS REHEATED AND GIVEN TO US. This is disgusting!!! and makes me think what food safety procedures do these people have in place? what training are these staff been provided? have they been educated on food safety? As we all know specially during this pandemic we all need to be more aware of food safety and hygiene procedures. I surely DO NOT FEEL SAFE dinning in this place. Unbelievable and disgusting!!!

What a little gem of a cafe. Wonderfully helpful service with tricky dietary requirements and a dedication to vegetarian and vegan food. A real pleasure.

Main selling point is that the food is yum!! Large sized portions, wait time wasn't too long, they had a constant stream of customers and tables don't stay empty for long. Good coffee, chai latte is spiced. Prices fair. The interior is a bit rough, customer service friendly, they seemed a little understaffed.

Little hole in the wall was surprising. Don't let the mismatch decor fool you. Portions were huge and the variety made it hard to pick! Great options for vegan and vegetarian and willing to accommodate any diet restrictions. Juices were fresh and bright. Would highly recommend for a big feed before a long day.

Incredible 😍 service was so lovely and a real treat. The food I could go on and on about with positives, huge portion sizes and incredible flavours and amazing ideas!! Honestly one my highlights and so stoked with all the food from here. Thanks Lillipad 👏👏 5/5

Delicious food and huge servings. Cute décor and their numbers being goddess cards was very sweet. However, the service was a little slow and the bottled water wasn't cold at all. Heaps of food options though!

Food was delicious and staff friendly. Great coffee. Decor a bit hefty and pigeons a pain but not their fault. Overall recommended.

A Cairns institution. No trip to Cairns is complete without at least one meal at the Lillipad. Equally great for vegetarians (vegans too, I think?) and carnivores with their extensive menu of delicious, fresh ingredients. The cakes are always delicious too if by some miracle you still have belly space left after your huge meal!

Good value for money, always walk away feeling full.
