The only one time we had Israeli food and was pretty happy about it. Unfortunately we can't remember the name of the dishes, the spring roll dish was filled with lamb and it wasn't gamey and the accompanying sauce was pretty good. The lamb skewers was amazing, it was fragrant, juicy and had a bit of a kick. Deep fried broccoli with the hummus was pretty good but nothing special. Don't be fooled by the quantity of the food as the bread is very filling. Food - 8 Service - 8 Vibe - 7 Price - $$$
Wow! One of the best hummus I have ever tasted, and the service is second to none.
Had a fantastic feed here. Portions were good for the price, food very authentic for someone that is unfamiliar with Israeli cuisine. Good skewers but the star was the hummus. Side note they are byo which is great but staff kept my drinks that i forgot there. Recommended for value and tasty value
Good food and fairly tasty. Hummus was a bit sweet for me. Shame the guy waiter who seated us was not wearing a mask 😷
Great food, great service. Will be back for sure. I hadn't visited since the relocation because I'd moved. Definitely worth going and I was very lucky to get a seat. Booking is highly recommended.
Service was quick, good portion sizes, priced appropriately, my chicken on skewers was a bit under cooked. Hummus was nice and creamy but no wow factor, may be I went with high expectations. Gluten & dairy free options available, so is a plus. And the chef serves food on table by himself, appreciate his kind gesture.
Best hummus I have ever had. The chicken in hummus was too good and so were the shawarmas. Will visit a couple of times again in my next Melbourne trip. Highly recommended for Lebanese food lovers.
Do yourself a favour and visit this place. It's just about as close as you can get to Israeli food outside of Israel but here on our doorstep. Everything was cooked so well, and the menu has heaps of options. Whether you want to try something new or have a foodie experience, this place is a must.
A foodie friend of mine had been raving about this place for ages claiming they made the best Hummus EVER! I didn't believe her, until we went for breakfast, and then lunch another time, and then dinner, and then ordered dinner delivered for 6. OK, I'm obsessed. The food is incredible, and whilst it may not look like some fancy flashy restaurant, it's some of the best and friendliest service I've ever had. It's simply and very good food made with a lot of love and passion. You don't get that a lot these days. Highly recommend!!
Seriously the most amazingly, delicious meal I've had in Melbourne. Every single dish was bursting with flavour and presented so beautifully. The staff were just delightful, so warm and lovely to talk with. If you're looking for a gorgeous pre- theatre dinner or just an amazing meal out then honestly look no further, the Left Handed Chef is a true treasure 🌟 Highly highly recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
