Lagoon Seafood Restaurant

First experience - came here for food as it was next door to the playground, a convenience to avoid hangry kids. Kiosk was closed but staff were super helpful and allowed us to order from the kiosk menu. However, food were served in cardboard plates with no lids - which made it impossible for one person to carry 7 plates back to the playground. Lucky a couple of helpful ladies waiting for their ride helped me out. The catch of the day “fish” was shark meat - chunky but not tasty. Also didn’t give us cutlery to eat with.

The venue was particularly dusty inside when we went for lunch. Would recommend dining outside for anyone with even the mildest dust allergies / asthma. When we asked for additional serviettes, the waiter we got allocated just went and served other tables instead and forgot. There were only a handful of tables since it was opening hours, so no excuse. We were one of the first orders of the day, and even though we asked for medium/rare, the food came out medium/well-done. All in all, disappointing meal that was closer to pub fare at restaurant prices. Saving grace was the friendly and understanding receptionist, the complementary coffee we got, and presentation of the over cooked food.

Had the best meal for my birthday celebration. The seafood was so fresh and the seafood plateau for two was very generous. We didnt get a chance to eat dessert as we had eaten so well but booked for the next day for morning tea so we could indulge in the strawberry shortcake which the next table had and looked really tempting . I did not want to miss out on the chocolate bomb either. Went back the next day for a 'quick visit" which fulfilled my sweet tooth needs to perfection. Recommend it to everyone, try it once and you will return again and again.

Won't be going back in a hurry. :( Food was good. Our waitress was great and attentive but the restaurant is in desperate need of some maintenance. Throughout the evening there was no paper towel in the bathroom. The rubbish bin was overflowing the toilets were disgusting. Splashback falling off, paint peeling, I've used cleaner public restrooms. Nothing looked clean. Floors, entrance, seafood tanks (you could hardly see the produce through the build up of grime) You are greeted at the entrance with a smoke screen of tobacco smoke with all congregating at the entrance for a smoke. Cigarette butts littering the area. Store room doors open everywhere with smells and sights not fit for visitors. Certainty not impressive, happy to pay the prices when ambiance is on que but for what is currently on offer here your money is best spent elsewhere.

Amazing service. Luxurious atmosphere. Excellent food quality. Totally recommended.

The quality of the food was far from impressive. The fish and chips with a side of 'Asian slaw' at $39 was actually of poorer quality than we have had at local takeaways for $12. The Asian slaw consisted of a bowl of rocket with a few pieces of red cabbage dotted through it covered in soy/sesame dressing. The BBQ Chilli prawns were average at best. The restaurant needs a good clean, carpets and walls are filthy. We won't return.

We had dinner with our two young children. Staff were accommodating of the kids. Food was delicious- had the fillet steak and it was delicious, cooked perfectly.

We had seafood platter for two .excellent value and very tasty too much food had to take 2 containers home to good to waste.the service was just as exceptional as the food. Our waiter Jezebels was courteous and happy a joy and pleasure as its so hard to find anyone these days who actually enjoys serving her customers a job well done. A part from the food she will also b one of the reasons we will b returning back to make it our special place thanku for a wonderful night.

It was so yummy! Food was exquisite @ the service was Amazing! Overall everything was great!! Also I have to say money spent well at lagoon not too expensive either
