The Haus Restaurant

Went for breakfast. Servings were generous and good quality

Ordered tea and scones. Tea arrived in thick coffee cups - no saucers, no serviettes. Had to remind staff to deliver scones. Still waiting. Later, the scones arrived and were good. The place was lightly populated but two persons arrived after us and were sat on a table for two right next to us! Why?

Great German themed restaurant. Staff are friendly and helpful but not up themselves. Food was incredible (and served in huge portions).

Very attractive street appeal, absolute road frontage, very classy looking.

Visited The Haus on Monday. Had the grazing platter for lunch. It was beautiful. Also cheese platter. Highly recommend.

Went for Breakfast. Ordered scrambled eggs on a slice of sourdough bread and cuppocino in a mug. Would give it 5 stars if the tomato was fresh and not roasted. Didn't say "roasted" on the menu. Nice atmosphere, huge but still cosy restaurant. Friendly staff, high prices though.

We have been here so many times and it always impresses us. The food and wine menus pay homage to their surroundings - they serve Strathalbyn meats and Langhorne Creek and Adelaide Hills wines. There is always something different to try, even if it's just one of the enormous slices of cake over a coffee. Beautiful view of Hahndorf if you're sitting outside. Well worth the visit.

Great food and service. Delicious pizzas and meat dishes. Recommend if your in Hanford
