The Clove Indian Restaurant

Great good, relaxing atmosphere, great service, reasonable pricing. Try the lamb chops and the rice was very fragrant and delicious.

Even though I had an early booking of 5.30pm & no other diners in the restaurant, it took half an hour to receive our entrees, ‘table of 3’ , but more than an hour to receive the mains. I think they concentrate more on take away than the diners. A serve of rice for $4.90 is the smallest serve I’ve seen for dine in, far less than any other cuisine I’ve had. And forget about getting any free tap water, because they don’t serve it,. I asked for it, but was told they do not provide it. The waitress was friendly enough but I feel the manager was not personable at all. I must admit I had a voucher from scoopon, so that might’ve been the reflection of the service I received & my experience there.

Food was standard indian fare but very expensive. My chilli chicken wings were way too spicy it felt like a whole jar of chilli powder was poured on them. The owner was very rude and I felt very unwelcomed. I could see his staff were terrified of him. Never again.

Clove has been in Coogee forever - it's a local gem and highly regarded for great quality food and service. Thanks for having us!

Delicious food whether it's dine in or take away. Great service. Friendly staff. Parking on the street. It's our go to Indian restaurant.

In my opinion, this is the best in eastern suburbs. Amazing butter chicken, seems like it’s cooked properly instead of using food colour. The owner is a very nice person :)

Tasty Indian food with great curries and naan. The Beef Banaroshi was really good and the korma did what it said on the tin. Host is great, he gave us digestion tips and food came out quick. Price was reasonable but not the cheapest night out

We go hear at least once a month for take away. Really great food, lovely staff

I bought the Groupon deal which was $55 for 2 people to have 3 courses. I called and booked for a Saturday night two weeks in advanced. Upon arriving I was dismissed very abruptly by the very rude manager on hand who said I had no booking with out actually checking and said I wouldn’t be able to use my Groupon that I had already purchased but I could sit and pay full price. We left on account of the managers terrible attitude. After speaking with other friends about the restaurant, they too had experienced rude behaviour from staff.
