Won't be going back in a hurry, Happy hour beers same price but half the size. Very disappointed, old way always lead to full price beers and a meal. Oh well, should have just ditched the snack food. Was our fave place to sit and drink. See you when you go back to the good old days. Tap Works here we come.
Dining experience ruined by the Me&U app. Imagine finally being able to hang out with a few friends and having a chat while waiting for and while enjoying your meal (especially after not meeting them for some time due to COVID restrictions). Well, you can't do that because you will spend at least 15 minutes figuring out how to install the app or navigate the website, registering a new user, and then updating your payment method. In addition to my friends and I, while looking around, we can see that the other patrons in the restaurant were also miserable trying to figure this out. Then this was followed by a long wait for food. Around 45 minutes into having our seats, we noted that none of the tables had been served anything. I understand that with COVID 19, measures need to be in place. All restaurants need to have particulars taken (which is a separate step before entering the establishment). However, to have the ordering reduced to this ridiculous app is taking a step too far. We were told by wait staff that this was the only way they could open (which is strange because no other establishment around Chermside was using the Me&U app for ordering). With the app, you are also charged an additional Venue Fee and Service Fee (which would be ok if they were upfront about it, nobody likes hidden costs). Some of my friends did not have the latest gadgets so they were unable to order via the app. They had to receive "tech support" from the staff. As if we did not have enough "tech issues" with working from home. Lastly, if you use the App, you will be charged a Venue fee and a Service Fee (which would be ok if they were upfront about it, nobody likes hidden costs). My friends "tech issues" could not be resolved and their order was finally taken by a staff (wouldn't it be easier to have your wait staff take orders rather than be tech support?). My friends were not charged service or venue fees as they did not use the app (no hidden cost). Needless to say, as long as this Me&U app is in place, we will not be coming back.
Great service
I always go to Chermside Bavarian. Such a great place and such warm friendly staff. could not recommend this place enough!! I also had an issue with a payment, They were quick to respond and so easy to deal with when fixing it. It was never an issue with them.
