Swan St Deli & Larder

My wife and I had eaten exactly the same food for the last two days. The only difference was that when we ordered lunch here yesterday, she ordered a vegetarian wrap while I ordered the new york wrap. Last night she had to get out of bed 12 times and has had stomach cramps all day today. We're not sure how a vegetarian wrap can become contaminated, but I'm fine and she's sick as a dog so...

First time visitors, was very excited to purchase some deli items and get take away coffees although we were shocked with a rude staff member. everything else was closed this day so unfortunately had to stay. Also a plain croissant for $6.50 seems too expensive and the coffee was also average.

Deli has a great selection of cheeses and meats.

As first time visitors we were looking forward to getting some takeaway lunch and deli items. However, a staff member very rudely said that one of us needed to wait outside. We understand COVID-19 restrictions, however this could have been requested in a more polite way, especially when we were not exceeding the limit within the store. They then skipped us and served 2 customers who had arrived after us. Ended up leaving without purchasing anything. Very disappointing experience.

Ordered a Latte & a milk shake waited for 15 minutes then they told us they had no milk. Staff member very rudely told us to wait outside. Coffee came & I asked for sugar and the staff member rolled their eyes. Very unpleasant and up themselves. Get your coffee elsewhere!!!!!!!

Helpful staff dealt with several questions from our demanding 9yo. The new yorker was delicious, green tea was very nice.

If you love cheeses & cured meats this is a great place in Morpeth to get your fix.
