117 Gouger St 5000, Adelaide
Good casual eat...
Fresh ingredients, inexpensive
As an old customer, I must say that I am rather disappointed with the new management. Diminished menu selection, mediocre sushi quality and odd furbishment choices are just the beginning. On the bright side, they kept some sushi plates from the previous era for us to reminisce the good old days.
The only sushi bar I will visit in Adelaide. Extremely fresh sushi and sashimi. This place is walk-in and sometimes runs specials on their plates during lunch times. I notice during weekdays that they have a good takeaway system with business people walking in and selecting dishes off the train to takeaway. The ordering system is via ipad so you can always order things that are not on the train.
Saw their $3.50 plate promo and went in for Aburi feast. The aburi was unbeatable for the promo price you're paying even though the service was a little disappointing. We basically were pointed to the table with installed ipad to order stuff and I was expecting at least "hi guys thats the ipad to order" by the staffs they have, but nope. I get the "high tech" attempt on less physical waitressing and more ipad ordering but nobody even checked if we needed water or anything else. Let alone us being the only customers that noon and plenty staff around. Try their aburi wasabi mayo, it's good.
The food always fresh and tasty. Good value of money too. Highly recommended
Good quality sushi place! Ordering system via iPad needs some fine tuning (missed some of our orders), but overall pretty efficient.
Staff looks dead. Food quality pathetic. Why put all sort of sauces on the sushi? Who does that? Guys just go to sushi train or Kintaro. You get much better food with the price.
It's a pretty good sushi place, offering a fair range of sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, tapas, and noodles. Staff are friendly and well respective of their customers and the ordering system is neatly set up on iPads on all tables. Keep up the decent work. You should add more sushi roll varieties to beat your biggest competitor; sushi train.
This place our to go to sushi when Ramen Izakaya isn't open for lunch. Great customer service, friendly manager. The food is very satisfying. The lunch special ramen is quite refreshing in a hot day. My fave is their salmon belly nigiri, husband love their maguro nigiri. Tempura nigiri is light and scrumptious.
