22-24 Grote St 5000, Adelaide

Food is great but the service is terrrrrrrrrrrrrible! The waiter couldn't tell which table ordered what and constantly brought the wrong food. For one dinner time, orders for our table got mixed up three times, including giving us the wrong food and the wrong amount! We ordered the beautiful plum liquor (60ml per serve) which worth trying. HOWEVER, four serves of the plum liquor, none of is 60ml! 30-35ml at most! We didn't realize this until the second round when the actual correct amount of liquor was brought to us. We pointed this out to the waitress, she took the drink away for measuring, and tipped over the extra bit! For all the restaurants we've been to in Adelaide, in Australia and in many other countries, this is literally the first time! It's quite a disappointing experience purely because of the service. Personally I felt really bad for the owner whose other shop is Genki. We really loved the food, just couldn't believe where on earth were these incompetent staff members found!

Wasai Japanese Kitchen

Black Dog Gallery
4.7
/ 143

4/455 Greenhill Rd 5065, Adelaide

A fantastic little cafe that offers something a little different from your standard Japanese menu. Try the ramen or the Japanese breakfast for an experience you may not have had before. Friendly staff, great atmosphere with gentle instrumentals sets the mood. The coffee is great but try some of the interesting tea flavours for a truly authentic (but alternative) Japanese dining experience.

Had a delicious dinner with Love at TUNO Izakaya. The Ramen was delicious and the charcoal meat was grand! The food was yum and the staff were lovely. It was really tasty Pork Ramen!

The Donburi House
4.0
/ 136

52 Sturt St 5000, Adelaide

We had a pretty good meal here at Donburi House. The service was slightly slow, but they're brand new, so there's probably still some small issues here and there to be ironed out. Overall the food was very tasty. I absolutely loved my aburi salmon donburi. The chicken nanban donburi was good, but not amazing, and the salted egg salmon steak donburi and salted egg katsu donburi were similarly very good, but not amazing. I will go back to try some more things later on once they've established themselves a bit more.
