Sunmi’s Sushi

Claims to do gluten free food, then offers to remove the meat and salad from a dish that's rice, meat & salad (bi bim bap) to make it gluten free. The wife still ordered and got a single slice of beef in her meal. Cheap & fraudulent.

I've only ever tried the kimbap at Sunmi's Sushi, but I am eager to try their other items too, the next time I visit. It's a pity that Sunmi's is one of the very few places in Adelaide that sells kimbap, but it is delicious. Whenever I go there, my go-to is the lunch pack for $11. Pretty tasty and fresh, love the pickled vegetables inside, and THAT sour sesame sauce (?) adds extra flavour. (PS. The kimbap looks squashed only because it was in my bag for a few hours, but otherwise, it's shaped beautifully when you buy it!)

Ordered dumpling soup which took a while to come out. Paid $12 for 5 dumplings in a watery soup with two tteoks still stuck together. I couldn't finish it in time so I asked for a takeaway, to which she said I needed to pay 70c. But there was no lid. This is soup. I can't carry it without a lid?

It is one of the oldest Korean food shops. Fresh and sweet-scented veges with tasty Korean foods are served. It's a nice place for enjoying your lunch alone.

I love the Salmon Nigiri here. Made fresh if you ask. Generous amount of Salmon with sweet tasting rice.

I have tried a few thibgs from Sunmi's. The mung bean pancakes are always a winner. I have tried rhe babimbap once and it was ok. Have had better elsewhere. Staff are alwyas smiling and happy. A great establishment in the markets.

Cold rolls were tasteless. Should not have bought from a Japanese restaurant, but if you are going to sell them at least make them tasty.

Sunmi is the best. We lovingly call her Korean Mumma. When ever at Central Market we come here for a feed be it early morning or late arvo. Love love love 💗
