Sugarcane Restaurant

Love Sugarcane! The ‘Trust me’ option was absolutely fantastic. We loved every dish. They make great cocktails too. Staff are really nice and it’s a relaxed atmosphere. I’ve also ordered take away from here and the food was delicious. This is one of my favourite restaurants.

Went for a birthday so in a private area of the restaurant. I would have to say service was excellent! Great staff, really efficient service and overall a great experience. Food was a banquet style given the number of people we had and for a banquet, I would say the food very good! Scallops, prawns were exceptional starters. The mains were also tasty with green beans, slow cooked beef and rice. Great atmosphere and definitely a good venue to go with friend where you can share dishes. Bookings are essential for the weekend as it was very busy.

Very nice atmosphere. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good selection of dishes. Great specials. I had the prawns from the specials list and it was good.

Come here all the time. This place never disappoints and is one of our favourite places to eat in Coogee. Recommendations would be the Pad Thai with crispy chicken. Once you eat their Pad Thai, all others will taste basic.

The standout about this restaurant is that they have got everything right, service, food, ambiance and an ever changing seasonal menu. Oh I forgot, great wine list. All the wait staff know the menu and are more than helpful, in a relaxed yet helpful way. Price is also reasonable for the top class food. Never been disappointed.

Wow, wow and wow. Staff has a great knowledge about their meals. You can feel how passionate they are. The taste is just incredibly good. I’ve been a couple times and I will return!

We winged it on a Mon night thinking that bookings won't be necessary, the place was packed but fortunately there was a table for 2 under cover on the footpath, the food is top notch, the flavours of each dish was distinctively unique and regardless of what combinations of courses you chose, the dishes all seem to compliment each other. The starters are a decent mouth full, the mains generous and the service professional. 4 stars only because we didn't experience in-house dining but should 5!

Great food and service. The staff had explained us all the menu in detail and offered great suggestions. We tried many different things from the menu and I would say that our highlights were the eggplant curry (great vegetarian option) and the octopus main dish. Definitely would recommend, easy to fin on the main Street facing the sea, always full of people so book in advance! (And that's always a great sign)

Wonderful restaurant. Our third time here. Food is really good. We did order the duck main this time which was really terrible but even that couldn't dampen a great evening with fantastic food and lovely wait staff. Skip the duck and you will have 5 star food. Enjoy!
