San Churro Hillarys

This is not a place to look for a service or clean tables. Apparently patrons are expected to clean the tables after themselves and take the dishes to the kitchen. Understaffed and nobody can be bothered with customers. Expensive also. Good location though. PS: they definitely improved the service since my last review - thumb up! However, if it was my lease, I would not want people with subway and other food occupy the tables, leave the mess and San churro employees having cleaned it.

Yummy churros and drinks and great view across the harbour can sit inside or out

Ordered a cheese toastie because I'm vegetarian ,waitress put down toastie in front of me saying cheese toastie.After a bite realised it was ham and cheese. I returned it and they bought me out a cold soggy cheese toastie.My friend had ordered a toastie to and she could eat hers either cold and soggy.Never again.

Had the works, churro biscuits with dark and white chocolate dips dark chocolate shake with a latte.

Great for a cosy winter day or night. Always busy with a ton of yummy chocolate options.

There’s always room for Churros. It’s been a while and they have added Tapas style desserts to the menu. I’m a bit of a traditionalist so went for the Churros with milk chocolate. The same as it always is - yummy. My husband always has the hot chocolate with ice cream. He decided to try the tapas and ordered the Cream Catalan, cookie butter crunch, Spanish Caramel and Mini Churros stuffed with Spanish hazelnut spread. The Cream Catalan and the stuffed Churros were nice but the others were quite heavy and you would have trouble finishing them. The service was very friendly and helpful. Great venue at Hillary’s boat harbour.

Very poor service. Our order was 45 minutes late. No explanation whatsoever and when we finally got our order, everything was very cold and churros was undercooked. Very disappointing experience. Definitely not going there ever again. Not recommend to anyone.

So yum. Great for a sweet treat!
