Absolutely amazing Japanese restaurant for fusion dishes and delicious food! I absolutely love the service and effort put into each and every dish, such a gorgeous place to eat if you enjoy fine dining.
First time to Sake. Enjoyed the experience. Food was top quality.
Excellent contemporary Japanese, everything on the menu is exceptional. A number of dishes were sampled, each one unique and full of flavor. Sake is a great option whether it’s a mid week dinner or a large weekend gathering. Lovely ambiance with a rustic, dark but warm look. This place gets quite busy even mid week so make sure you arrive early or book in advance. Service is top notch, all servers were very attentive and helpful with the menu.
Excellent Japanese fusion fine dining! Their menu is amazing and super fresh! I recommend trying their chef’s set menu is is the best representation of what the restaurant has to offer. I could not fault a single their menu or their excellent service. The dragon’s egg is a definite must if you have a sweet tooth.
Amazing well appointed restaurant. The food is Devine. Not a single dish was disappointing which truth be told is a minor miracle considering the number of dishes we ordered. Every single dish was unique tasty and tantalising. Not cheap but you certainly get what you pay for. That is fresh high quality fish.
Service is great. The staff are really attentive. Food on the other hand is a little disappointing. Oysters and nori crisp were fine and was the sushi set. Fresh seafood bringing out the natural taste. The popcorn prawns is not bad too. The dressing goes well with the dish. And we also had the seaweed salad (recommended by the staff) which is a mix of various forms of seaweed which is quite interesting and actually helps to balance out the richness of some of the later dishes. If I had stopped there.. I wouldve been quite satisfied with the night.... But next come a couple of disappointing dishes... Tempura vegetables... the dish was actually quite oily which I've had some good tempura before where it is light. The dipping sauce portion was a bit small for the amount of tempura. The shumai was made differently to what you expect from yumcha.... with the filling minced and the cup/outside made of noodles.... because it was minced i feel there was not much of a prawn taste with the noodles overpowering the taste. The pork gyoza was also disappointing... the filling was salty... and I feel pressed a bit too much... maybe needed some cabbage with pork to balance out the taste. And the chicken karage was the most disappointing... maybe it sat under the heat lamp a bit long .... it looked a little overcooked... it was dry... and bland... I've been to other places where the batter actually has a nice flavour to it.. but this had nothing. The drinks list is very extensive though... and the staff are willing to provide recommendations if needed... There is also a staff in the bathroom area.... which tells you which booth to use... and I think they clean after your usage.... I think its a little weird and awkward.... and they should change the system.... like it would make you feel uncomfortable to use the bathroom. (Plus they call the booth via numbers and there's no numbers on the booths..... so its a bit confusing there too).... not they have nice thick hand/paper towels which is great.
I'm addicted. Sake is an experience! From the delicious cuisine, beautiful decor/ambience & professional staff who make you feel welcomed and care for the moment you enter the restaurant we can't help but keep coming back. We've celebrated numerous anniversaries and special occasions & each time has been exquisite.
One of the best restaurants in the area. An elegant but still tasty Japanese restaurant. SERVICE: The staff are super attentive and also have great recommendations. FOOD: Highly recommend the Dragon Egg dessert and Kingfish Sashimi entree. The Popcorn Shrimp was also a great starter. DRINKS: Great selection of cocktails, sake and umeshu. Whilst the cocktails were a bit pricey, the variety of umeshu was a great pairing for dinner. AMBIENCE: The restaurant is also quite large but due to popularity gets booked out - so recommend booking ahead.
Popcorn shrimp and Toothfish are good. But wagyu is so so.
Delicious vegetarian food options!
