Saffron Indian Gourmet

This is my go to dot Indian cuisine. The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is very relaxed and enjoyable. Staff know what they are doing and always ensure that you receive the best experience. Everytime I visit Broadbeach, I ensure to go to Saffron. This place is absolutely fantastic.

We visited last night at this restaurant. We already booked a table but still have to wait for 15 min for seated due to poor service guy. Service was too slow we have to wait for food more than an hour and food was average. I had stomach ache whole night can't sleep worst experience ever in any indian restaurant as we didn't expect like that because we travel 1 hour from Brisbane to here. If you want to wait more than 1 hour and didn't expect any good service from staff than you should have to visit otherwise leave it.

This place puts itself pretty high in terms of self anointed reputations Overall, good quality of ingredients / chicken made the food nice (better than most Indian restaurants) - As is the venue However the service was pretty slow (drinks were slow to come, no one really checking in on us) and I felt sorry for them, as no real manager but more 4 overseas students trying to scramble a service together Also they have live music on Fridays and Saturdays, which started out great, however the old guy with the beard went pretty off piste with some strange mixes - I would def get rid of him If we were in the area we might try it all again but we would not go out of our way

The food was very tasty but took 45 minutes. There was about 4 people working in the kitchen. All in all, food is very very good!

Staff were good but meals were just alright nothing to get excited about. The butter chicken was very average.

Busy place - specially on weekend. Good food but on occasion I had to walk to the bar area and help myself as there were long delay. May need to balance staff roster wisely.

For a restaurant that was much Hyped about, I would say that lack of service, starting from the manager who seated us, to the people who took the orders and got our food was not worthy of a high-end restaurant. I would just rate this as an average Indian restaurant, with average fare of Indian food. While the ambiance is really well done, and some of the cocktail drinks are well put together, the buck stopped there. The Indian food we ordered tasted similar to an average Indian restaurant. We drove an hour from brisbane as we were told that they had the best food, and our table pretty much had the same option when we started eating our ordered dishes. The menu is not that big with same average Indian curries, rather than anything new or created, and the quantities are average. What put us off was the service, as we had to ask for someone to take our order, and once the food came, no one even came to ask if we needed anything more. Expecting someone to even ask how the food tasted, was least of our expectations, when no one even came to take any order for dessert. At that point we just walked up and paid our bill, to be met by the manager passing by with an icy 'Bye'. Not a place I would come all the way from Brisbane, when we have some good ones here.

Been to this restaurant few times over the years and have always enjoyed their authentic Indian food! So far I’ve never found their food to be artificially sweetened or coloured which is a big tick for me. No complaints about the food but they can improve their customer service.

Very good service and exceptionally good Indian food. We ordered the prawn and chicken salad to share for entray which was wonderful and very tasty. Followed by Lamb Sagwalla and naan bread which were also wonderful well cooked and full of flavor. If you like Indian food definitely check out this restaurant.

Sorry but I can't tell you about the food. We arrived without a booking. Restaurant wasn't particilarly busy - rainy Tuesday night - told to take seats on stools across from the bar & that was it. After 10 minutes of being invisible we left. There are many very good service restaurants in the area.
