Ravenswood Hotel

Pub on the water of the Murray River. Can throw out anchor at the front and plenty of boats do. Country pub, large outdoor seating area with a little playground under the shade of a large tree. Food was good pub quality and band played nice music. Something there for all ages. Some of the indoor seating is pretty cool, nice rooms with original decor.

I went to Ravenswood Hotel for lunch with Club 55 outing /trip. There was a miscommunication between the organizer & the Hotel, our lunches was not ordered. Well, we had to wait for our lunch to be ordered & cook. It was not a long wait. From my perspective & observation the kitchen staff was efficient & competent working well in the kitchen. The counter staff was friendly & very helpful in answering all our queries. We all waited patiently. I had grilled fish (Australian barramundi). Enjoyed my lunch. My positive moment was at the bar, when on my way out, I was just looking around & one staff came up to me asking to help me. I noticed a sign of Chocolate Stout. I asked her about Chocolate Stout. I have never tasted it before. The staff offered me some for tasting. I tasted it & like it. She advised me that I can buy them in cans at the bottle shop. I did buy the cans ChocolateStout & took it back to the coach. We were on our way back to Perth.. I like to thank the Bar staff for her friendliness & good customer service, she had introduced me the Chocolate Stout. My memory of Ravenswood Hotel was positive. Though there was a delayed lunch buy it all came out all good.

Tonight while out to dinner at the Ravenswood with my family I witnessed a staff being yelled at by a customer and I just want to say that she handled it PHENOMENALLY. She defused the scene and talked him down. Kudos to you!

Was nice to sit next to the fire and have a good meal with a beer.

Great location with an amazing view of the sunset over the river. The food was also great, and was served in large portions in a timely manner.

Good place, beautiful views and good food with good price

My partner double checked that the dish was able to accommodate my food allergy and the lady taking the order didn’t double check with the kitchen and was rude. Needless to say, it contained the allergens and I threw up in the bathroom. No, I didn’t say anything to the staff because they were rude to begin with and by that point I was already feeling extremely ill and just wanted to leave.

Great setting beside river. Plenty of room and tables. Food was very good. Great place to go.
