Railway Friendly Bar

The beer was good but the hamburger wasn't good, the cheese was cold, it didn't taste anything. It's a good bar for drinking beer and listening to music, bad food.

Loved the place and its really cool vibes went a couple times to hear the music with some funky duos Safe and friendly place

Staff rude. The female staff only there like they are waiting for Zack Effron or one of the Hemsworth's to come and sweep them off their feet. Food was ok

This is probably the best bar in Byron. Friendly and well laid out. Nice place to chill after a hard day trekking

TL;DR: avoid while covid restrictions are in place. Last couple of nights their person-capacity has been limited due to covid so there is perpetually a line of 20-30 people waiting to get in. The security staff just let their friends skip to the front of the line and the result for anyone else is waiting for an hour or so to just get inside. On several occasions we observed security staff usher friends of their friends inside while at other times telling people (clearly unknown to them) they were ‘at capacity’ and they would need to join the back of the line to get inside despite already having friends seated inside. Otherwise the bar is as good as it has always is. Drinks are normal price for Byron, food is reasonably good, and they usually host decent live music.

Can be fun but unfortunately the security on a busy night when people had been waiting in line for hours chose to let in all their friends over the people waiting. I go there every week for a pub feed with my work team but won't be bringing the team back after tonight. Very disappointing.

Decent boozer, bit on the steep side but if you're looking for cheap and cheerful you're in the wrong town. The girl behind the bar assumed I wanted pints, not schooners. I liked that

Awesome local pub, great vivbes. Cold beers and a good feed. Loved the beef burger and serloin.
