Queensland Performing Arts Centre

The performance of Animal Farm was excellent and worthy of 5 stars. The performance of Qpac in emailing and texting ticket holders regarding 100% occupancy and a 'strong recommendation' to wear a mask also 5 stars. However, somewhere in the region of 95% of the audience choosing NOT to wear a mask was worthy of absolutely nothing and Qpac's apparent acceptance of this is incredibly disappointing. I'm at a loss to understand the audience's complete disregard for the 'strong recommendation' for mask wearing and wonder why Qpac bother to communicate with ticket holders if, as I feel certain, all audiences behave in the manner I saw today, and if Qpac have no plans to monitor the situation. I acknowledge that there is no mandatory requirement to wear masks at the current time in Brisbane. Finally, although attendees were advised of the requirement to check in using the Qld Check In app, I witnessed very little in the way of checking that the app had been used and I personally had to approach a theatre employee to show I had checked in.

A great concert with Dane Lam on Sunday afternoon doing an incredible job conducting an enthusiastic and competent orchestra, great soloists and a wonderful strong choir doing the Beethoven 9th symphony. It was an uplifting experience allround.

I found"Come from Away" was excellent but the car parking was very difficult. This was due to the theatre being upgraded. The new theatre should be very nice.

Awesome venue! With great prices on shows, happened to run into local celebrity Jacob Francis Worrall in the foyer who entertained us with behind the scenes stories from the set of Red Dog. Definitely coming again!

Went and saw the musical "Come from Away" last night and the show was Amazing!! I saw this production in NYC and now Brisbane and the Brisbane performance was as good, in fact I think it was even Better!!!!

Staff were friendly and very sweet to our children on their first time at the ballet.

Good venue. Covid restrictions caused it to be less enjoyable. Staff were great.

Wonderful venue, haven't had a bad experience in over twenty years, staff are always courteous and helpful.. parking underneath makes for easy access to the show and the other attractions that Southbank has to offer.

I had a wonderful time with my son. The show "Shaun the sheep" was nice. My son and I were cheering and clapping while we were watching the show. We enjoyed it!! I had a great impression from the entrance; all staffs that I met from the enterance to my seat in the theater were nice and friendly. A great customer service and the show made 5 stars on QPAC review.
