Pizzeria Don Angelo

We used to visit a couple of times a week. The food and staff were wonderful and along with the live music and Italian alfresco dining it was without doubt the best restaurant on the Gold Coast. If we ever had a problem it was quickly rectified. Unfortunately since being taken over the food is shocking and the service just as bad. Any complaints (such as raw chicken) are met with a can't be bothered attitude, with a "what do you expect me to do" thrown in. Last night was the final straw. We ordered a Sunday roast, it was inedible and the whole lot went in the bin. Rotten vegetables, watery gravy and terrible meat. Such a shame as it used to be amazing. I feel very sorry for the staff who put so much into the place.

This place has stood the test of time! We have been coming here for years to enjoy the great pizza and pastas. Great spot to dine in or take away. Always good service and great food!

NEVER EVER AGAIN,such a rude owner,normally I would call her a lady but she isnt for me,never had such a bad customer service,SO RUDE,Restaurant empty(one couple was eating)she gave us a table where you could sit not together so all of us are looking against a wall.As we moved the chairs to sit face to face she said :we are not allowed because of the corona rules. If so ok understandable,BUT,Restaurant was empty(no wonder why)so we asked for a "normal table"where we can sit face to face.And you guess what she made a drama and was starting to get rude,after 5 minutes we left.Would NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THIS SHOP AGAIN,if you read the comments from the last year ,since she took over,you know why.The old owner was soo good they loved the Restaurant But this women doest.She just wants your best:Your money.thats all.Not even with a smile.I am not sure why she is working in the customer service area.was there fathers day

Unfortunately I have to agree with a lot of other comments. We used to love this place but very disappointed in the new owner. They have stuffed up our takeaway pizza order 3 times in a row. The first time they left most of the toppings off and when we called she said she realised the mistake as she had made it herself but at least it had the ham on it and that was the most expensive ingredient.. um no that doesn't make it ok sorry. We tired again a few more times but each time they stuffed up the order. The final straw tonight when we ordered a Gluten free pizza and they also got that wrong. I understand people make mistakes but 3 strikes your out. We called tonight and they did offer to make us a new one but we live 20mins away and didn't want to drive 40 mins to get it. The owner is rude and unapologetic. I hate leaving bad reviews but maybe if she sees this she will realise she needs to improve her customer service. If she had actually sounded like she cared and was sorry I wouldn't be writing this. We want to support local businesses but you need to earn that. You charge too much to make a bad pizza.

Really bad, it took a long time to serve us our food (1 1/2 hours), at the end the food was bad too, the food was cold and small.

Ordered take out pizzas, told to pick up in 1/2 hr had to wait another 20mins when I got there, wouldn't have minded if they had said 45mins would have got there then. Insult to injury the pizzas were ordinary, pepperoni was sliced incredibly thin and the toppings on the other pizzas were sparse, very bland. Save your money and use dominos.

Let me preface this review saying that I was a chef for 10 years. Service is amazing, second to none! Had one small issue with one meal. Staff fixed everything quick smart. Awesome food, awesome service, even had live music on a Tuesday!
