I think this place has a lot of potential and there are a lot of things going for it. Nice fit it, bright and great view over the beach area. Park and tram also st the door step. The wait for the food was a little long thought, esp given the place hadn't yet gotten busy yet. The chair backs are a bit 'tippy' too, I'm told they are getting looked at. As we left a kid pushed one over and got a fright so hopefully that's soon. The corn fritters were small, dense and floury but the French toast was delicious and very well presented, see photo. The coffee was nice, albeit I think the milk jug doesn't get washed in between steamings. I think we'll try it again, the staff were nice.

The cafe is located at a prime spot with the beach just within the reach. The foods are amazing and reasonably priced and the hospitality of the staff top notch. Highly recommended!

Very nice food, extremely friendly service (thanks for saving our whale!), and very relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. A great experience.

Good fit out. Lovely staff. Fine coffee. Quality menu. Has become our regular Saturday breakfast venue. Hope this review doesn't mean we won't be able to get a table next week!

Love the location (palm trees for days) and the menu. I'm very particular about my almond flat white and these guys make it well. Great as a 'laptop' cafe, too.

Friendly staff, great coffee and good service. Prices a little higher than most, but they accommodate large groups of cyclists without the need to book...bike racks outside🚵👍

Accommodatingly open at the early time of 7 am – supposedly in appreciation of the wisdom of the adage that the early bird (opener) catches the worm (customer money) – the café is within visual range of the bay. It being an unseasonably cool summer morning when I arrived, though, and the establishment having all three doors open, I had the wind-swept feeling of being out on the bay itself on the deck of some vessel. However, finding a protected niche (perhaps the only one available) and wearing both beanie and scarf, I was able to render the situation tolerable. I was unable, though, to do anything to mitigate the loud jungle-type ‘music’ coming from the in-house sound system or the further noise pollution of an incessantly yapping small dog, in attendance courtesy of a customer who was doubtless one of the army of Melburnians who have small pets as surrogate children or as beasts whose submission and dependence is a source of ego fortification. On the positive side, I paid $3 less for my long black and croissant (fresh and crispy) than I had paid nearby, at the establishment next door to ‘The Guilty Moose’ two days earlier that had charged for its produce as if it had been flown in, express, from France and which, formerly a laundry, was now cleaning out wallets rather than clothing. Also on the positive side of The Pineapple Palm was the aesthetics of its ceiling, something that became a topic of discussion with one of the two very friendly young waitresses.

The sign out the front says "Best Bacon and Egg Roll in Melbourne". Have to say it is up there with the best of them. Big Brioche bun, tonnes of bacon, mayo/aoili and relish. Definately hit the spot!

Brunch place with a great view of the beach! The nautical interior complements well with the location. The food was pretty average though. Croquette came in four small pieces along with an egg which is quite expensive for the price in our opinion. The hotdog and the drinks were decent but doesn't stand out at all. Food - 6 Service - 7 Vibe - 8 Price - $$$
