The Peninsula Bar and Restaurant

We have been wanting to try the Pen for a while and today was our lucky day. We stopped for a drink and added the 3 cheese platter as well. The platter was one of the best we have shared for some time. The house bubbles was a perfect balance to the platter. We look forward to making the Pen a regular. Cheers 😁

Had fish and chips It was lovely with the best tartare sauce l have ever tasted. The salad was so fresh and tasty. The best place.

Great food. Great Staff. Pork belly and pumpkin Linguine were delicious. Dessert tasting plate was the perfect way to finish a delicious meal.

Not accommodating to large groups. Called and was told couldn't book, even though we got there we saw booking signs on tables. We arrived 9/10 of our group got inside venue, however due a capacity limit (understandable) the last person was made to wait until people left, and was put at back of queue. I'd expect with a large group they'd be moved forward - So 9 people aren't just waiting around to order dinner. Anyhoo no harm done. The dinner and ordering process was in shambles, wrong dishes arrived, a few had to wait 40 min for food even though it was ordered at same time. Im sure the set-up works great for small groups, because this place was popular. Just don't recommend any large groups come here. One redeeming point is they serve Pirate Life on tap. I almost gave a star for that alone, but felt the attitude of gate staff is what made me leave this hopefully 'constructive' feedback.

Always nice to sit and have a few drinks just chilling and enjoying the view. Pity my LLB's, was just not tasty as it should be, not much fizz. Bit flat!
