Nice hotel in the inner suburbs of Canberra (Suburb of Dixon) within close walking distance of the Mcarthur Avenue light rail stop. Friendly staff service that are there till late at night and home to a restaurant and bar with good food and drink options, that are also open till late at night in an indoor/outdoor garden setting. Rooms are tired and old however and are in need of restoration.

This is definitely an old 3 star hotel. Not 4 star or 4.5. The atrium with the restaurant looks beautiful but the rooms are from the 80s with aircon that doesn’t work. The carpet throughout the whole hotel doesn’t look like it’s been replaced since the 80s either. It’s dirty. Food was average too.

From booking the hotel to checking out this hotel was great, we had breakfast each morning and it was fantastic. The hotel staff were so polite and helpful. We had dinner there each night if our 4 night stay, the only meal I wouldn’t recommend was the steak sandwich. The meat was quite tough. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

This hotel has a beautiful vibe. For a reason, when I went there, I immediately had a European feel. The layout is so unique, the vibes are really cool, and most of the staff are nice. Breakfasts in the morning surely can be better, the buffet is not the best... The dinner menu at the restaurant is extensive and the bar is cosy. I would stay again, but probs would skip the breakfast there.

Stayed in room 262. Very dark. Not a warm room vibe. No soap (that was a strange one), except in the shower. Beds were alright (clean) but very soft mattress which I don’t like (that’s a personal preference). Also we made a mistake with our booking (our fault) but no concession was given. Cost us extra money, there were options that the hotel could have made where a small discount would have helped greatly.

Stayed for two nights, found the room to be in a desperate need of an upgrade. The bathroom towel racks were barely attached to the wall, there were no outlets near the beds and the lighting was sub par. The indoor pavilion is amazing, with lush indoor gardens surrounding separate dining, eating and living areas.

Loved the indoor plants and the customer service was generally pretty good. I probably wouldn’t get the breakfast again, I didn’t feel it was great value for money and there are some many options for a great feed closer to town. Poo ya lost on cleanliness, my bathroom had hair all over the floor from a previous tenant and goobers stuck to the tiles.

Love the atrium bar and restaurant (makes sense of the name!). Quiet comfortable room. Friendly, relaxed staff. The whole place has a faintly 70s vibe but well-maintained and lightly renovated. Will come back!

One star rating is generous, and definitely will NOT stay at this “hotel” again. from the service from the staff at the front desk being rude, as check in is at 2pm we arrived way after 3pm being told that the room not being ready told by staff member to wait outside in the Carpark. 20 minutes later had a call back to say that we have been upgraded 😡😡😡 DON'T THINK SO there was $100 bond taken and it's taken over a week to be released multiple phone to the hotel and voice messages left no staff member bothered to return any calls. Finally got through as they say it's not our end it's your banks problem.😡😡😡 Highly recommended not to stay there

Great location the indoor plants around inside gave it a 1980s James Bond vibe. Reception staff could of explained things a little bit better but were apologetic when giving us the key card to our room as they had given us a wrong one previously. Had dinner/ room service was lovely. Would stay again.
