Haven't been here for years, looks much the same, like you stepped back in time, magic! In spite of a packed house they still serve up the coffee and lunch in good time. The Rose breakfast, poached eggs, spinach cheese and mushrooms on toast, yum!

I absolutely love this place. It has an amazing art deco interior. It's absolutely stunning. The decorations are labeled very helpfully too. The warm chandelier light really makes the place feel cozy and special. The food is adequate. The service is not always fast but attentive. It's gotten much popular over last few years - there's a queue basically all the time!

Wonderful service. Friendly staff who appeared passionate about the place. Great food and a wonderful old world charm lost in the modern world's cafés. Well worth a visit for tourists and locals alike. I hope it is heritage listed and if it isn't it should be as Australia's oldest running cafe restaurant.

A beautiful old school establishment with classic charm. Such a hidden gem. A must visit.

This place has been here forever; however, it doesn't really pay to be rude to visitors, whether you think they'll come back or not. The food is nice, the setting is great, but throwing dishes onto the table, ignoring people and telling them it's 'not their turn to order' doesn't win friends. We watched one group walk out, rather than stay, after some rather impolite service. On the food front, for a place that makes its own chocolate, it's inexplicable for the hot chocolate drink to be made from powdered chocolate. And the cream with the scones isn't really much good - thin whipped cream. Overall, given there are so many places to eat in Katoomba, walk in have a look at the decor and go somewhere else. I've travelled from England to visit Australia and landed on this beautiful cafe. Best coffee I have had. My mum also tasted the beautiful home made chocolates they make here. The lady made us feel so welcome. Lots of vintage gifts here also. Love to come back one day

It was a nice surprise, when we were curious about the window display, and found a great place inside. Great decor, good treats.

Just opened a block of the milk Waratah chocolate I bought on holiday a couple of weeks ago. I am assuming it isn't meant to be gritty and lumpy, the top where the paragon name looks kind of melted. Really unimpressed for expensive chocolate. Dreading opening the white bar. It was kept in cool dry conditions and not in the fridge. So disappointed.

Visited years ago.I’m talking 55years or so.First place to visit when arriving,highly recommended💖.In a child’s eyes it was superb,much better than a candy shop.I still get the same thrill.Brought back fond memories💝
