Shop 10 Marina Pier 5045, Glenelg
First time back here after getting back from overseas earlier this year. So awesome to be back!! Still the best food and service ever! Couldn’t recommend more 😍
spent New Year’s Eve here, had prancing pony bar outside which saves congestion for the inside bar. Had 3 cocktail specials which were good. There menu was good, lots of range for their oyster menu. Was very pleased with the service, food and location was awesome. Oysters were yummy! Only thing I would suggest is if they had a nice seafood tower platter that would be awesome addition to their menu.
Service was average, oysters were ok nothing to get excited about. Got off to a bad start when we informed we couldn't bring our champagne after we had already been brought to our table. Would be nice to know beforehand. The view and location is lovely.
Oysters. Coffin Bay Oysters. Wine. Honestly this is a great no fuss Oyster Bar and Australia doesn’t have enough of them. Pleasant service, great menu and a nice outlook. If you’re in Glenelg and like Oysters, take the time to drop in here.
Great food and yummy cocktails. Staff are friendly and attentive. Thanks for seating us on a busy night without a booking!
At first we had a little miscommunication with the time for booking so our seats with the best view wasn't available. They made it up later on with compt'ing us a couple of drinks and reserving the next available seating with the water view. The staff's are friendly. Great selection in drinks and, not to forget to mention, the fresh premium oyster selection. We loved the caviar oysters, Thai Oyster, and just the natural oyster's. The calamari dish served there was melt in your mouth phenomenal and the cheese platter with the cured meats was an awesome idea!
OYSTER BAR HOLDFAST SHORES What an experience and memory Fresh coffin bay oysters with great topping choices, if oysters are not your thing they have platters, salads and share plate options Great drinks selections Wednesday oyster night specials Friday drink specials Join the oyster club to get your name on the wall... HOW MANY CAN YOU DO! 4,6 or 10 DOZEN 🥴😆 Amazing friendly customer service Clean and hygienic BUT the best part is the atmosphere and feeling. You have 2 choices 1) experience the outdoor looking out over holdfast shores marina and if your lucky witness some resident dolphins 🐬 2) sit inside and enjoy the tunes and atmosphere, on selective nights listen and watch the live music 🎶 I would love to see some more variety with oyster toppings and salad choices in the not to distant future 🙏🏽
Nice selection of oysters
Excellent service! Food and oysters were delicious! Salt and pepper calamari was a tiny bit too peppery, but still yummy.
Excellent food with reasonable price, we have 4 people and it’s 57$ per person. Very well dining experience and will definitely come back again! The ouster were very fresh and recommend to order the 🌮 taco best in Glenelg!! Love this place ❤️ Some types of oysters are commonly consumed cooked or raw, and in some locales are regarded as a delicacy. Some types of pearl oysters are harvested for the pearl produced within the mantle. Windowpane oysters are harvested for their translucent shells, which are used to make various kinds of decorative objects. Oyster is the common name for a number of different families of salt-water bivalve molluscs that live in marine or brackish habitats. In some species, the valves are highly calcified, and many are somewhat irregular in shape. Many, but not all oysters are in the superfamily Ostreoidea. Oysters are filter feeders, drawing water in over their gills through the beating of cilia. Suspended plankton and particles are trapped in the mucus of a gill, and from there are transported to the mouth, where they are eaten, digested, and expelled as feces or pseudofeces. Oysters feed most actively at temperatures above 10 °C (50 °F). An oyster can filter up to 5 L (1 1⁄4 US gal) of water per hour. Chesapeake Bay's once-flourishing oyster population historically filtered excess nutrients from the estuary's entire water volume every three to four days. Today, it would take nearly a year.[8] Excess sediment, nutrients, and algae can result in the eutrophication of a body of water. Oyster filtration can mitigate these pollutants.
