Ochre Restaurant

Excellent food with beautiful indigenous spices, fruits and herb's. The cocktails and desserts were also suberb. The setting, sitting out on deck with cool breeze off the water & watching the passing 'fashion parade' was also enjoyable. Thanks for a lovely evening, we'll recommend you to family and friends.

Our best dining experience in Cairns! The food was wonderful, had tempura bugs, mango lime cheesecake and a red meat dish (sorry forgot which one). Absolutely worth the cost, if we had more stomach room the degustation would have been a very reasonable choice. Service and drinks were great, the menu innovative and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Highly recommended if you want a fancier dinner.

Enjoyed fantastic A+ service from Carley and the team. Amazing modern Australian food, showcasing native and local produce. Loved the different sized plates, and having so much choice on offer. The kangaroo was the winner in the end for me. Great location too, Will be back!

You have to give credit where credit is due. I come from Sydney and I am not a chef but I cook very well, and I often get very frustrated when I go to restaurants and get out feeling that could have done a better job cooking the same meal at home. However, today I must say...BEAUTIFUL! From the mocktail (strawberry daiquiri), to the entry (coconut prawn), the main (striploin) and the dessert( chocolate trio)...Everything was simply amazing! So I came here to leave my feedback... I really recommend Ochre. Thanks

Ochre Restaurant is absolutely fabulous! Amazing staffs, great and beautiful food and drinks. They are so attentive on details to make the costumer feels special! We had a amazing time there and I will always truly recommend!!

The Valentines Day luncheon was marvellous. The staff and the food were really good and we enjoyed a terrific luncheon. One an admin note, the service staff apparently were unaware that the Internet promotion for a special Valentines meal included a dessert. However, after some staff communication we were served a great dessert similar to what was described on the Internet. Problem was solve and we had a great time and a great meal. I would definitely consider Ochre to be one of my favourite restaurants. Well done!

Our family enjoyed a delicious meal at Ochre last Saturday night with the usual friendly, helpful and efficient service from the wait staff. The only disappointment was...not even a sparkler on her dessert for my daughter's birthday!!! otherwise all good...thank you!!

The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. However, while the food was tasty and well presented, every course except dessert contained a deep fried element. From the tempura prawns on the entree to the fried rice cake on the main course, even something as delicately flavoured as quail was battered and fried.
