154 Lyons Rd 2047, Drummoyne
Always tasty seafood and the staff are always nice.
Fresh and delicious seafood!
We've been enjoying fantastic high quality fish and chips from this establishment for more than 30 years. George, the 'modest owner' of Ocean Foods claims his fish and chips are the best in the Universe! A bit cheeky - but no one beats Mary, his operations boss lady for first class service!
Theyβre famous for their fish and chips. No argument there - baked whole fish is just a delight. But their new burger menu is a new must try - I have finally found my long lost love of prawn burger - great value as well.
Great place love the food be ready to pay fish of the day $10.50 for 1 loved the old school hand cut chips a great range of seafood will be going back
Delicious sea food. Friendly and helpful staff.
Great fish and chip place in Drummoyne. Itβs very popular, and seating can be an issue, but thoroughly recommended ππ
Best fish and chips in Sydney highly recommend
We hadn't been back here for a while as the last visit we didn't think the battered fish was all that, but decided to give it a go again. Ordered a few different options today, a bit over priced..but its Ok.. it was the customer service that was truly a let down. The lemon roast potatoes looked amazing but was drenched in too much lemon that you couldn't even enjoy the dish in it self. We decided to let the waiter know and ask if they cld either swap to something else pls or just refund the amount to us. Whilst the waiter was apologetic, we cld tell the kitchen staff had a more 'too bad too sad' attitude. How about you try the dish urselves b4 serving up to customers who then cant quite consume it!! Abysmal customer service good luck and wont be returning nor recommending.
The price of the food and smaller portions have been highlighted in other reviews, however this would be fine if the quality matched. It does not. The fish of the day sold by Ocean Foods 'Pacific Dory' is not a type of Dory, but a misleading name for Basa or Mekong Catfish. This is one of the cheapest fish available and is usually imported frozen from Vietnam where it is farmed in the Mekong River. This is despite their website clearly claiming: "We source, cook and serve only top quality Australian and New Zealand seafood." Notice next time that there is no 'Pacific Dory' in their display window. There are plenty of other fish shops that serve fresh Australian fish.
