Classic pib. Good service and a variety of dino3ng and drinking options

New chef. A visit at lunch time. I went with the standard snitty beef. Salad bar was nice and had a bit to offer. Staff were friendly and environment clean and fresh. Snitzel was very low grade, sour, tuff, gluey, gluggy and grey, probably below average pub fare, I decided to leave it. Managment kindly offered a free drink and stood by their substandard snitty choice. I appreciated the sentiment, but in todays times I dont need to settle for below average.

Ordered 400g traditional surf and turf rib eye medium rare. Came out medium well. It still taste fine but all of our steaks were not to how we wanted them cooked, the worst being mums as medium but was well done. Bistro manager rectified the issue well with mums steak, offering a free glass of wine and a return on the entertainment book voucher. Salad bar was pretty good with all cold offerings and some fruit. Garlic bread a good size for price and taste pretty good. Cold beer on tap, good service. I would say we would return despite the issues tonight. Definitely give them a try.

Re: lisa morrissey By looking at your reviews you seem to be offended by everybody and everything.. All my experiences at the Newmarket have been very pleasant, the staff are always very friendly and accommodating. I guess you get what you give.

Sat outside had a very good enjoyable Newie Stack my wife had the Thai Green Curry good friendly staff would eat there again

I had the oven baked Atlantic salmon, it was over cooked and very dry. The veg that came in the couscous tasted like it came out of a 2 minute noodle packet. My partner had the seafood basket, he said everything was fine except the fish, which was tasteless. Staff amazing, setting beautiful, need to work on the food guys, used to be fantastic.
