Always delicious fresh food
Really really yummy 👍
The place had a very nice atmosphere, staff were friendly and the pricing was also reasonable. I had issues with my order which unfortunately ruined my experience. The orders which were correct however we well enjoyed by my friends.
I’ve been eating brunch/lunch here nearly every day for several years now, so I figure it’s time to post a review! The fact that I’m such a frequent customer says volumes in itself - here’s a few of the reasons: the food is always super fresh, good range of options, and as close to authentic as you might hope to find in a CBD cafe (I think it aligns fairly well with cuisine from Vung Tau region in Vietnam). I think I’ve tried and enjoyed everything on offer across the menu (except the spicy items, but other customers seem to really enjoy those too). As a frequent customer, I’ve had a chance to observe how the team here behaves. The owners are incredibly personable, even when super busy at lunch times, and this attitude flows through to all the staff. They try *very* hard to learn their customers’ names, and I’m amazed how well they succeed with this, with many customers greeted by name as soon as they arrive.
Mr Viet's has a good range of vegan options. I've had their vegan noodle bowl, and their vegan pho. The noodle bowl tasted great, a good mix of flavors and extra sauces available on each table. However I did feel really gurgly in my tum after, and felt a bit sick for the rest of the day. I went back some months later and got the vegan Pho soup, which comes with fake beef, tofu and bean sprouts. It was alright, it didn't make me feel sick, but nor did it taste amazing. It was kind of bland, with minimal ingredients and minimal flavor. The atmosphere is fine, not super special but not at all unpleasant. Solid mid-range place, woopwoop.
Awesome Vietnamese food! The mock-meat bowl is so good, heaps of flavour. Staff are awesome and make it even better
Pho was fresh and tasty. Fast service. Very busy place. Highly recommend it.
The noodle soups very small portion. After I was finished, It felt like I haven't just had lunch. The taste was so bland. The soup was full of fresh mint that with every bite, I got a mouth full of mint and I could only taste the bitterness caused by too much mint. Didn't like the food at all. Maybe it is just me! But I should add that the spring rolls were to die for! Great service too. The 3 stars are only for the rolls and the service.
service is fast and efficient. Pho is lacking of flavour. Vietnamese coffee is great.
Delicious Vietnamese food! Great value, fresh ingredients, quick service, even through lunch times. A very well run business. Staff and owners are super friendly, over time they like to get to know you on a first name basis, and I always feel so welcome. Awesome vegan and vegetarian options. I have been eating their vegan pho for years and it never gets boring, I’m always so excited to eat it! Great bao buns, noodle bowls and Vietnamese iced coffees. The mock meats are so well made. There is a line pouring out the door most lunch times for good reason!
