Métisse Restaurant

We went for 'The journey' experience with wine pairing. The wine was paired perfectly by the in house sommelier with every course of the meal. The food was a work of art with multiple dimensions, exquisite look and taste that satisfies the heart and soul. The ambience of the restaurant is one of a kind and the staffs are professional and attentive. The place literally is flawless and would 100% recommend it. Chef Opel and Julie has created a Gem in the heart of Sydney.

What a gorgeous night out at Metisse! Owners Opel Khan and his daughter are there to delight, with a series of impressive dishes, and a spectacular, elegant and aesthetically very pleasing decor to boot. All dishes were cooked with strong French technique and influences, with in season ingredients singing. Dishes came out in quick succession which we adored, as we could only find an hour long park. Would absolutely visit again soon. Took us to another world- especially important when you can’t travel during the pandemic!

Still the best restaurant in Sydney. The flavors and research behind every dish is truly spectacular. Chef Opel Khan is an absolute virtuoso. Staff and ambiance where impeccable and extremely friendly and welcoming. Could not recommend this place more!

We recently visited Metisse to celebrate our anniversary. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was incredible, the service immaculate with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Celebrated boyfriend’s birthday on Wed night. Not many people on the day. Intimate atmosphere and friendly staff. Cocktails are really great. Creamy cheesy taste is quite French, while there could be more creative idea to be added. Not much highlights overall but can be one of the options for special events.

What a fabulous experience, this is now one of our favorite restaurants in Sydney. We arrived to a warm and friendly welcome, the atmosphere is lovely. The restaurant is beautifully presented, not to formal that you feel uncomfortable, they have created a feeling of welcoming luxury. We started with two house cocktails that were very special both in presentation and flavour. The meal was without fault, every course perfection to the palate. From the tomato amuse bouche to the smoking duck each course had beautifully balanced flavour, interest and texture. This restaurant is a credit to Opel, his wife and daughter. A fabulous family run business that has mastered the recipe for success. We can't wait to return.

The best fine dining restaurant I have ever been to. Chef Opel Khan and family have created a truly exquisite degustation experience. Exceptional service and ambience from the minute you arrive. Must try the wine pairing or one of Metisse's signature cocktails. Food for the soul. 6 stars.

Fantastic service! Amazing food! The Chef comes out and explained his creation to every table when the main dish came out. What an honour! Every detail in the experience of the night has been considered. The Chef, his wife and their daughter all shares their love and passion to the patrons. We have never experienced that in any high end restaurant in Sydney...ever. thank you!

Absolutely exquisite meal. My partner and I went for our anniversary in the middle of the week. We had The Journey. Each course was a work of art. My favorites were the asparagus and the mosaic dish! Blew me away. Everyone was lovely that worked there, and the chef even came out at one point to introduce a dish which I thinks a genuine touch. Ambience was perfect too. Highly recommend.
