Mercado

Wonderful as usual.

Great place with good atmosphere. Staff are friendly. Food are nice. The portion are fair in size for the med and large share plate. We also had the Spanish tortilla with octopus, it was so delicious we dig in it so quickly and we forgot to take a photo.

I went to this place last Saturday for dinner. The atmosphere is nice, but I think they don’t have enough waiters. Few times we tried to call them but they were always too busy and never looking in our way. I let my friend choose everything he wanted to eat to share. Food was well presented and tasty, except for the meat, was so much chewy and difficult to eat. That was really disappointing. I wanted to pay for my friend because it was his birthday, surprisingly the bill was not high, but I wanted to use a gift card for restaurants and they didn’t let me use it. We found it weird, because it works exactly like a credit card and I just have to put the pin to pay, like other cards.

We had a lovely dinner at Mercado. Food was delicious, atmosphere was great and staff very attentive. Special kuddos to our waiter who was really looking after a very pregnant me, making sure that the food we were ordering was compatible with pregnancy diet restrictions! We'll definitely be back to keep trying the rest of the menu :-)

A great night out. The food was exceptional and the service friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Plenty to choose from on the wine. We attended during the mask wearing weekend d and staff were very diligent in keeping basis on ( not like many places we visited. I have been a little disappointed with some restaurants in Ash st but this place is a stand out.

My wife and I dined at the Mercado for our anniversary dinner. We are repeat visitors as their menu and service is just so wonderful. This time our visit was made all the more special by the lovely lady who looked after us for the evening. Her name is Bee, and she made us feel at home, helped guide us with wonderful suggestions of what food and drink we’d enjoy. And she was spot on! She rally made the evening for us with not only her suggestions but her friendliness. Thank you Bee and thank you to the team at the Mercado for really giving us such a wonderful evening!

Delicious food, great wine list, excellent service and relaxed atmosphere. We had a great lunch. Thank you for helping with my cow's milk allergy. The sheep's milk haloumi was incredible and such a treat to be able to eat it. We'll be back!

Fantastic food in an elaborate setting. Sorry I didnt find this place sooner

Our first visit but eat in the street now and again. Firstly, the welcome and staff attention was very good but not too attentive. The menu is concise but covers a lot of bases. We would have liked to taste more but with two people the opportunities are limited. The portions are large so we left food uneaten. In summary, loved the food with one of my favourite wine, Mencia, providing a soft and fruity accompaniment.

Lovely dining experience, shame that the tapas portions were way too tiny - I'd like to have triple the sizes as they were really tasty. Pleased that they got the seafood paella(not sure if that's the special since menu on their website still shows only pumpkin paella) on the day. Least favorite dish will probably be seared scallops x bacon, flavor wasn't really there comparing to the rest of the dishes.
