Mecca Bah

My husband and I decided to go out on a nice date night to the Gold Coast Mecca bah for the ist time . Wasn’t sure of the menu , but as we entered we were greeted and showed to our table by hailey very welcoming . We had an amazing entree as hailey recommended and definitely would have the lamb boureks again . My husband loves beef ribs as again hailey pointed out the ribs on ur menu , amazing and a lot of meat . I had the sesame and honey chicken omg the best and it was good to be able to try new things and enjoy it . The best experience ever, highly recommend hailey as the best waitress ever. Drinks were very well priced and definitely be back with friends.

Food was really yummy. We were seated in a really awkward position where we had people constantly bumping into our chairs despite being tucked in as far as we could. We ordered the 3 course banquet with was wonderful. We were expecting more for the dessert (2 pieces of baklava). We thought we were getting a small selection of the desserts instead. Otherwise, the meal was really lovely

Food was great. But unfortunately the service was a little too rude for my liking. Cancelled our coffee order that never came. Tried to be patient, but it was a little much for me and the waitress began to backchat me. She seemed annoyed that I was wanting it cancelled after 25 minutes of waiting and watching the bartenders just clean glasses. Even though the restaurant is quiet, there is an expectation of quality service. Lots of love to the chefs, and to the other lovely waitress who was present though. 😘

Sadly I cannot rate them any lower. They have terrible customer service, and the food is average for the price you play. If you read all the bad reviews they look all too similar to the experience we had. Unfortunately the management don’t seem to care. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants around, so if you are reading this...please do yourself a favour and stay away from this place.

It has the most incredible and tastiest food on the gold coast i have ever had. Great atmosphere and tastiest margaritas. The mecca bar felt like i was tranported to the middle east. AMAZING!

The food was amazing and difference types. I have to suggest the three course meal as you get to try many variety of entrees and main courses.

The food was on another level. A bonus is that it's halal. Really good quality and plenty of food as well that will fill you up. Generally the staff were kind and helpful, though two of the staff members were quite rude. I understand you may not be in the best of moods after a long day of work but it can really make people feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed.

Made a reservation at 730 for which I arrived on time and was asked to wait for a free table. I understand that delays can happen but the staff did not even apologize for making us wait over 20 minutes and when asked 'What's the point of making a reservation when we have been made to wait over 20 minutes already?' they responded very rudely and did not even apologize about the wait. When asked 'how much longer till we will get the table?' they refused to give an estimated wait time and snarkedly replied 'you can choose to wait if you want'. Making customers wait when they have a reservation is not ideal but what was worse is that they didn't even apologize or try to make us feel taken care of after. After a 25 minutes we finally sat down at the table. The wait for the food was also very long, overall just quite poor service and people skills from the staff considering the vibe and location of the restaurant. A huge shame and disappointment with the service as the food wasn't bad.

Such an enjoyable dinner. The food was amazingly good and the service was quick and friendly. Particularly good considering how busy they were.

Went to this restaurant for the first time. We arrived at just past 6pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant is already almost full, luckily I had a booking. Waited for a little while for the foods, which is understandable given that the restaurant was so busy. We ordered the hummus with spicy beef, grilled calamari and lamb tagine. I’m very impressed with the food. Absolutely delicious. The grilled calamari is particularly good, so TENDER. The service women is very friendly and professional. I would definitely come back.
