Maru Korean BBQ

Always has fresh ingredients a little more expensive but if you love fresh meat and fresh bibimbap come here

Poor service - the waiter was pretty rough putting and pushing the dishes on our table, the kimchi almost fell onto my lap. The spicy pork ribs soup was very tasty, lemon chicken was average - was expecting crispy but I understand the lemon sauce made it not crispy (had to pick the one without sauce at the end, should have ordered the original ones). The black bean noodle tasted like overcooked. I have had many black bean noodles at other places and they didn’t taste like this. Must admit that the serving size was very generous. Price paid about $57 for 3 dishes (2 ppl eating). I might not come here again or if I did, might choose something else to eat.

Great place for a fun night with friends, loved the food and atmosphere. Even though it was busy and a line up out the front, it moved quickly and wasn't too long before we were inside and being served. We ate upstairs at the grill tables and ordered from a touch screen mounted on the end of the table and the food arrived very quickly. Overall great time.

Party of 16, for 7pm, service prompt with smiles. Received our amazing meals with entrees, quickly. Food tasted superb and everyone commented how their meal tasted exceptional. The hustle and bustle mirrored how you would expect a Korean diner. Price good. Will definitely come back next time in Brisbane.

We had dinner last night at Maru. Food was nice and delicious but the only thing is that we were not comfortable on the table given to us. We reserved a table for 5 but they gave us a small one. Staff could have initiated or asked us if we were comfortable because they saw the situation last night knowing I am with my 2 tall and big friends. But what happened to our reservation?? There were a lot of vacant tables that were not occupied. Instead of enjoying our dinner with friends, we did not enjoy much because we were uncomfortable. I am working in a hospitality industry and customer service is very important

Good dining environment and so friendly staff. There are a lot of choices of Korean food, which is delicious😋😋😋😋 I love the boneless fried chicken so much!

Went in here for a family dinner on the spur of the moment walk in. To be honest wasn't too sure about this place from the look of it from the outside but decided to give it a go. So glad I did....this place is awesome!! Some of the best service ever, very quick with the meals, great meal too. Service was some of the best I have had in Brisbane actually. They greeted us well, waited on us in a professional manner. Will be back, great find! The meal sizes caught us off guard, really generous size meals, probably overordered, good drink selection as well, beers at $5bucks is good value.

Always a great experience here. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the food always leaves you happy, and the servings are generous. Prefer dining in usually, but ordered a takeaway dosirak last week and was super surprised by the high quality of the takeaway packaging - specially designed and made for the job.

Lots of fun and excellent quality meats. Gluten free options available for BBQ with all non-marinated meats being gluten free. There were some other dishes that may have been gluten free as well, but the bbq was so good I didn't try to find out :)

We had an enjoyable evening here on Sunday. The staff were very polite and friendly and provided efficient service. Our dishes came out in less than 10 minutes after we placed our order. They were delicious, well-presented and generously portioned. The restaurant also appeared to have good ventilation - we were close to the bbq area but weren't affected by the smoke. Thank you for the great meal and experience.
