Best Vegan Cafe in Melbourne! These guys are so so nice, they made my friends feel so welcome and gave me a free enormous doughnut. They have these incredible breakfast muffins with egg, fakon, sausage and the biggest hash brown you have ever seen. So, so good... definitely one to add to the list of must-visit cafes in Melbourne.

5 stars all round. Lovely staff, amazing versatile plant based menu, dog friendly and good coffee. If I didn't leave so full from the big breakfast I'd be back for lunch!

Organised to meet a friend at this cafe for lunch. Menu looked great, lots of diversity and interesting dishes to choose. My friend couldn’t find anything she liked and decided to have a bowl of chips. I ordered a decaf soy milk latte and the crispy chicken burger. Coffee was hot and artfully presented but lacked depth of flavour. Chips were served with tomato sauce, when I enquired about vegan aioli, the staff member told me they didn’t have any. I thought that was odd, she said it only came in the slaw on the burger and wasn’t served separately. A good homemade vegan aioli with chips is a million times tastier than store bought tomato sauce. My burger was served without any cutlery or serviettes, my friend got up and asked for both. When I was cutting the burger in half I commented to my friend how hard it was, I felt like I needed a chainsaw to cut it in half. My first attempt at biting into the burger and my teeth couldn’t even get through it, it was that dried out and hard, not light, tender and crispy like I was expecting. It was like it had been deep fried till well done. Losing all moisture and just leaving a rock. The slaw looked like it came out of a bucket sourced elsewhere instead of being made in house. I called the waitress over and told her I couldn’t eat it, I couldn’t even chew it, it was hard as a rock. She tried to explain that, that’s how it was and I said that I found that hard to believe because it was inedible. I removed the chips from the plate and said I’d eat them but that I wasn’t paying for the burger. She came back to the table again and said she’d spoken to the chef and that’s how the pattie was being served and that nobody had ever complained about it before. I hate when people say things like this because it’s almost like they are redirecting the blame onto the customer, it must be my fault that I can’t eat the burger and not because of the way it’s been over cooked. I’m supposed to feel bad for complaining that it was inedible. The cafe was freezing inside, my glasses were fogging up from the cold air. The sarcasm from the staff after I’d paid and was leaving was typical of people who can’t take constructive criticism. Then i get told by the owner that I’m not a very nice vegan? Why? Because I couldn’t eat your chicken burger? Lol and they told me to never ever come back!!! That I’m banned Hahaaaa as if I would ever want to go back. Fortunately Melbourne has many amazing vegan places to eat at. The banned vegan 🌱
