The dock is a pretty sweet place for fish and chips and Mako will not disappoint. Battered fish firm and fresh. Chips cooked just right. Seafood basket certainly satisfied . Prices are inline with the locality. Wash it down with a creaming soda. Life is grand!

Ali (Alexander) served me and my order was scallops with chips, and tiger prawns and dim sims. Ali provided excellent service and the food was fresh and very good. A great value meal for about $20, and certainly as good as if not better than many up market restaurants. You can also buy fresh fish from their shop downstairs, and they will cook it for you at a reasonable fee. Thank you Ali.

Fresh and reasonably priced fishmonger. Plus fish n chips upstairs is awesome as well. Best of all vessels in pier. Friendly staff as well.

The fish sold are mostly fresh. Ask for when the fresh ones would come in the week, which would be the better deal. Upstairs is my favourite place to get fish and chips. Try to avoid busy times (was there Saturday evening, in which all the tables were occupied) as the chips would not be as good as normal days. Fish selection probably changes each week? Am unsure about it, but try it. I like to have my meal next to the window at the day. It's just pleasant.

Located at the wharf. I'm normally a Flippers man myself but have Mako a crack on a friend's suggestion. Friendly service and got the premo seat at the end. This is the seafood platter. It was big and really good. Very fresh fish, hand cut chips and the scallops topped the lot. Highly rate. Cheers

So if you don't want a fancy meal, and you are on the harbour and feel like seafood then this has to be a top spot to choose. This is your classic fish and chip takeaway but the good thing about this place is that you can dine in if you want to. The fish is super fresh and tasty, the chips fat, hot and not over greasy and the portions are a good size so excellent value for money. We will definitely be back. The fish was some of the best we have ever had and we really enjoyed the whole experience.

Fish and chips was fresh and great as were the scallops and calamari. Coleslaw was delicious too. Dined in and place was clean, staff were friendly and helpful.
