Shop 7 50 Macleay St Beside Fitzroy Gardens 2011, Sydney
Great local eatery. Prices very reasonable and welcoming staff. Portions very good value for money and a favourite of ours for breakfast. Best potato rosti I've tasted
Delicious and enormous chicken and veal schnitzels. Must try the Jaeger sauce! Bavarian aesthetic with friendly staff.
We used to love Maggie's but the last few visits it wasn't what it used to be. I guess if you order the right dishes then it's fine but three of us ordered the veal schnitzel (Yager) with mushroom sauce. The meals are huge but the schnitzel honestly wasn't good, it was panko crumbed & deep fried making it really tough & reminiscent of crushed glass. We will likely return but are now more selective in what we would order.
Great food in cheerful surroundings. Very generous portions. Very friendly staff.
I had dinner at Maggie's after a recommendation from a local. The schnitzel was excellent. I'd say it was a good amount of food for a good price, and the service was great. If you like German food and happen to be around the Potts Point area you should definitely give this place a try.
Nice food and service. Only been there once and enjoyed the quality of the service and the traditional German feel.
We enjoyed the German food and beer. The service was excellent. Just off the main street it was quieter. The schnapper and lamb shanks were great.
Great food and great service
The mushroom sauce was thick and glugey and set like cement on my schnitzel!
Great food. Best schnitzel I've ever had, delicious pumpkin soup, etc ,etc. Despite that, its one of the cheaper German restaurants in Sydney. Servings are huge, bright friendly atmosphere next to a playground, nice beers, etc. Will definitely be back.
