Nice place to stop with lovely food and treats. It was a tad crowded the day we went. Pricey, but you're getting quality stuff. I like that you can taste everything they sell. Well worth a trip.

$20 for a terrine a.k.a sausage roll was a bit overpriced. $16 baskets of bread, dips and prepackaged pates are also a rip off. Most of the food can be obtained at all major supermarkets and grocers. Don't bother coming here if you want a satisfying lunch. Probably a quick pit stop for some taste testing would be more suitable.

Well worth a visit. Book if you want to eat in the restaurant. Children will love the turtles.

The place set up and staff were worth 5 stars but VERY average menu wise! The vege tart with goat's cheese was just presented on a plate with no salad - taste wise: quite bland. My husband had the chicken filo with a few salad leaves, petals no dressing with the delicious barbecue sauce. Beautiful tasting merchandise, but way too expensive and not celebrated in the menu at all.

Visited the farm shop for lunch. Very limited meal selection. Had the chicken mince roll which was oily and pretty ordinary. Kids enjoyed the sausage roll. Nice surroundings however very underwhelming experience. Not worth the drive from Adelaide. Maggie needs to rethink her menu and execution.

Description

Visit us at the farmshop & cafe where it all began over 40 years ago. Here you can taste the fruits of all those years of value adding produce to hand. You can sit at the open windows with a coffee and cake or a glass of wine and see the native turtles or local birdlife in the adjoining lake. We encourage our visitors to wander around the Farm Shop & cafe and take the opportunity to taste all the products; in fact this is the only place in Australia where you have the chance to see and try just about every product we make. Enjoy a coffee and cake on the terrace while you enjoy views of the lake, or perhaps indulge in some wine and cheese. Locally produced and inspired by Maggie Beer, of course.
