Macarthur Tavern

Ate an early Sunday lunch here. Quick service and plenty of seating on the patio at 11:15 but was getting busy and slower as we were finishing up. There was live entertainment that was pretty good. It was very pleasant.

So many good memories and parties and fun I've had here, do they still do Hype with the DJs and bar cranking? Was amazing back when you's first opened I noticed it looks abit more family orientated these days, but it's good because I am not 18 anymore, 27 with my own toddler now, will be good to bring him to family things now if the party days are over? Interested to know please!

Not the best place to go, service a little slow, staff not so polite or courteous. Food was ok, but doesn't represent the price you pay for it. At least as busy as they were food was prepared in a reasonable amount of time. Will be a while before I visit again.

I would not have given this place any stars, although it won't let me post this review so ignore the one star: Attended a good mate's 18th over there - overall experience was awful. We didn't even get to eat our dinner due to being kicked out by the ruthless "licenser" by the name of David McCarthy. He told us that we had to have all parents / guardians of all the 17-18 year olds present, in which we wondered, why didn't he mention that before when the booking took place? He was extremely rude to the birthday boy's mother who booked the event, by insulting her profession. I do not recommend this place at all - I've never met anyone as rude as DAVID MCCARTHY. Please, save your money and your valued time and DO NOT GO THERE.

Friendly service Huge range

Usually mac tav is pretty good and a 4-5 star but today was terrible. Spent over $200 on lunch and the quality was so bad. Quantity was also poor I spent $38 on fish that wasn't even cooked properly and came with soggy chips and salad. I know and understand you're busy as a former restaurant manager and equipment wholesaler but still you really slipped hard today and that was super disappointing. I don't think I'll be having a family lunch there anymore as everyone was disappointed.

1st time visitor here and the whole experience was amazing. Beautiful decor, fantastic menus and the staff were all professional and courteous.
