On The Water 35 Eastlake Parade, Kingston
Amazing vibes and friendly staff! Food wad incredible!!!
Recommendation for "build your own breakfast" salmon and avocado and poached eggs! Good service, great coffee. Located nicely next to Canberra's central lake.
Pretty good food but unfortunately our coffees came out cold. When we mentioned this to the waiter they made us fresh ones immediately though. By the time we left just after 9 am there was a queue of people waiting for a table.
veggie plate just perfect for me as I can't have too heavy food in the morning (brunch) though my mate called it horse/rabbit food very considerate the teapot, cute
Really good coffee, tasty gluten free food, very friendly staff, and heaps of indoor seating (in the air con) or outdoor seats if the weather suits. Only downsides are that the seats are close together, so if you have mobility issues you may need help to your seat, and it was quite a noisy environment - to be fair though we visited on a very busy Saturday morning. All in all a great weekend breaky.
Lovely food.
Good coffee. Slow, meandering service.
I tried several ‘breakfast’ dishes at Local press and I would have given them 5 stars if not for today’s dish. I tried lamb salad and was deeply disappointed. Lamb , the hero of the dish, was way too dry. Babaganoush - not enough of it on the plate to tie up this dry dish, and it also had a bitter taste. Pomegranate dressing was definitely absent. I ended up with heaps of hard freekeh left on the plate not wanting to eat it. Sweet potato, nuts and other ingredients were nice. I would still recommend this place for their beautiful breakfast menu dishes.
The lamb was really good. Friendly, unrushed service. Definitely worth a visit.
