On The Water 35 Eastlake Parade, Kingston
Good coffee but worst customer service. Came 40mins before closing to have quick coffee, definitely aware of their closing time. The gentleman (around 50 years old) was so rude! Never coming back 🙄
Not bad for food that is explicitly "healthy".
Just great tasty food without all those nasty additives, they cater for celiac and vegan
Great food, lovely location.
Love the cafe, the food and their service! Local Press Cafe is located along the Kingston Foreshore facing the lake, making it the perfect place for a cozy breakfast and lunch experience. The place is packed (good timing, there's only one person ahead of us in the waiting list when we arrived). They handle their guests very well as they welcome us with warm greetings and escort us to our table. They serve lemon water (not just tap water) while we check on the menu and there are copies of the Canberra Weekly magazine to read on. It's not your usual breakfast café as they serve healthy dishes. As we are fans of Eggs Benedict whenever we have our brunches, we ordered their Salmon + Pickles on Toast and a Bean + Chickpea Cassoulet. For the coffee, we've ordered a cup of cappuccino and a mocha. We like how our dishes were prepared. The salmon dish is very refreshing–it has this Japanese dish vibe where you have both the savoury and the zesty taste. The cassoulet is very interesting as you have an octopus and chorizo in one dish. The coffee were done very well too. Worth visiting if you are keen to get some brekky in Kingston.
It was a quiet morning so we where lucky enough to snag a seat outside in the sun. Service was good and food came out quickly. I got the winter bowl which tasted amazing 10 out of 10! They had vegetarian and vegan options with multiple none dairy milks available for smoothies/coffees. Dog and family friendly, would definitely recommend :)
We ordered smash avo with poached eggs on top and 2 toast with fried egg for my kids. The meal was ok, however, I can say is the most expensive smash avo I ordered in my entire life. The food was ok and yummy but the price is completely luxury probably 20-25% extra price over any other similar restaurant
Provide very good quality food and lovely efficient but friendly service and they will come!! We got in around 8.30 on a Sunday just before the queue began. I was naughty and had the Vongole for breakfast OMG 😍 The house made salmon was like butter according to hubby. The coffee and juice were great. Highly recommend this Wholefoods Cafe
Coffee was okay but the taco shell was too tough to bite…. Too much spice in chicken. The taste of food can be improved generally… OVERPRICED :(
Spent 2 hours having coffee and in that whole time wasn't asked if we would like anything further (water, coffee etc)... coffee was nice tho.
