732 Harris St Shop 93 2007, Sydney
The word "lestari" literally mean ever-lasting. It's not an exaggeration that the impression that you get from this restaurant is going to be "lestari". I have been going to this restaurant for years now. They started off with a smaller shop next door with seating of 20 people to now being able to fit up to 50 people. They appear to be just another takeaway restaurant in ultimo, but its actually more than that. They serve various authentic but elevated indonesian food. If its gonna be your first time, start with their Fried Rice variety called Nasi Goreng Lestari with Roast Pork (Savoury) or Nasi Goreng Jawa with BBQ Pork (Sweet). Whatever your preference is, whether its salty or sweet, you are guaranteed a good time. The other hero of the menu would be Bakmi BBQ pork, which is their version of Indonesian dry noodle served with a side soup. The place are also clean in case if you are a bit pedantic about cleanliness. Last but not least, the people serving you are always nice, welcoming, and full of smile. They will literally treat you like family. If I can give 7 stars I would.
Authentic Indonesian style food. Location is slightly hidden can be accessed from George Street or Harris Street. You can eat indoor or takeaway. My favourite is grilled chicken and fried rice. Also the fried noodles.
This place can be hard to find as it’s tucked away right at the back of an alley. I’ve been coming here for a few years and food has always been good. Can be slightly greasy at times however the flavours is still there! Nasi goreng special with chicken & prawn is my go to as is the #7 & #5 with roast pork.
Highly recommend Lestari to anyone who craves Indonesian food. My personal favs are their Bakmie Sakaw and Nasi Goreng Jawa. The signature noodles are chewy, bouncy and sooo yum! Love their customer service too. Big thumbs up 👍
Great, authentic Indonesian food. Very cheap too but they only accept cash, wish they take card. Happy to pay the extra card fee for the convenience. I haven't visited since Covid as I don't want to handle cash.
Food and server were good. But, you better check by calling to the shop before you go there. Their opening hours and days are unfixed.
Literally the best fried rice in sydney. Great food, great service. Place kinda hard to find tho. But it was worth it.
Yum Nasi Goreng and very friendly service.
I've been coming to this restaurant since i was in uni 10 years ago and still feel delighted with the Nasi Goreng it offered. Try it with roast pork to add more flavour. The space is spacious (has lots of table that can cater big group) and also clean. Love coming back here if i crave for tasty fried rice.
Tasty but needs more substantial meats rather than carbs.
