Laksa King

Very good laksas are served here... Try the seafood curry in particular and you'll be coming back for more! Have had a peck at friends' food (other than laksa) and they didn't really stand out for me. The restaurant as a whole works like a well oiled machine and although the food is prepared fresh, these guys are so efficient and bull prepare ingredients that I've received meals in far less time that I get coffee from some cafes (not exaggerating). Usual affairs with wait staff but everyone including the kitchen staff and chefs are usually smiling which kinda suggests that workload and pay is reasonable and that alao might explain the quality and speed. Downside is that you are likely to wait for a table as the place is packed almost every hour that it's doing business including most off peak times. Prices are mid-range with laksas in the $10-20 ish range. Another inconvenience [for me] is the cash only policy. Check it out, it's well worth it.

I've been going to laksa king for the last 16 years. Awesome laksa's also love the chicken and fish fried rice. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. No wonder its melbourne 's best cheap eats!
