64 Auburn Rd 2144, Auburn
Went there last night with the family and had good experience. The host is a wonderful guy who explained to me ally he dishes I asked for as it was my first time trying Afghani food. The menu is simple and not very elaborate. However all the dishes we tried were really good. The dishes are very low on spices so that you can taste the main ingredients. The most amazing thing is that the food feels so fresh like it's just been made, this was actually confirms to me by the owner too. The decor too is very nice with a big nice painting depicting the Afghani tribesmen. Giving one star less coz I could not find any main chicken dish which actually could be due to the fact as it's not there in the Afghani cuisine I guess. That's said, it's worth a try. Cheers.
Amazing Afghan food !! There are a lot of places that offer 'afghan' food. However, if you have tasted quality afghan food before, you would know nothing beats Khaybar! The brothers have worked long and hard hours to build that restaurant and have made their family and friends absolutely proud.
An absolutely amazing experience from the smallest thing first served, the fresh Afghan bread, side of yogurt with garlic and mint. And then the main came out, we were lost for words.
Amazing food. Amazing service and lovely atmosphere.
I love this place and love the food. Very neat clean and tasty food. Keep the good quality. Highly recommended Afghan Cuisine.
Awsome food and very friendly staff , this place was very clean and tidy lots of food for the price you pay .
Good things first. It is an Afghan speciality restaurant which happens to be in Auburn and that's all. The two stars that's I gave are for that. Rest the food is not out of the world, the seating arrangement is traditional, Wooden hard chairs and to top it the staff during the first half of the day is stubborn, restless and extremely rude, especially with families who have Kid's. So families with infants and Kids, please be prepared for comments ride like ' take care of the salt dispenser', ' if you are ready to pay the bill, go to the counter' 'Ketchup doesn't come with this dish' although they get it later. By the way they have a high chair for the Kids, that is, in case you gather the courage to ask for it.
Kind of Overpriced but the food is good. Recommend lamb shank pilau
Food was delicious. Portions were decent and service was prompt.
Nice at atmosphere and great food at a very reasonable price. We had the juiciest diced lamb with Afghan bread. Will come again.
