Just Italy South Melbourne

Good food and great service! We shared the pizza and gnocchi but the table is a bit small for us to put it in the middle. The staff was so friendly to help us by stacking the disk up to make more space. That is what good service is, not just pass the dish to us and don't care anymore. Make the guests comfortable! We had a good meal and the price was very standard for a great neighborhood Italian restaurant.

Waited over 1.5hrs to get our food only to be served undercooked steak We were a party of 7 and ended up leaving as the food and service was terrible. 3 out of 3 steaks not cooked when we all ordered medium rare and orders left out. Staff were rude and not accommodating. We are always happy to wait if the food is worth it. In this case it was not

Best authentic Italian food you can get in Melbourne. Great and friendly service in a cozy environment.. As Italian I must admit I was blown away by the quality of the ingredients as they are authentic and it feels like been in my home town. Totally recommend if you’re fancy Italian food!

Sadly we didn't have a great experience here. I booked on a Thursday for a Saturday night dinner thinking this was enough time for a descent table, but we were seated against a fridge, a wall and the bar where they refill water bottles (you can see in the photo😬). Twice my friend was splashed in the back from this water tap. I feel like we were shoved in a spot for last minute walk ins. Our entree garlic bread came once we had all started eating our mains, and the mains came out at all different times over 10 minutes. The food was really nice, 1 meal was a tad cold. Sadly it was the service that let it down. When the bill came we were also charged $10 extra for the bottle of wine but this was rectified when we went back 10 minutes later and got the refund.

Loved everything about this restaurant. The food is magnificent. Going back for sure.

Great food service! Authentic Italian food! A must try in South Melbourne! Pizza is outstanding! Steak and olive ascolane recommended too! Tuna tartar with soy sauce truffle infused is just special! Staff is very friendly.. I felt in a warm Italian family!

I really don't understand why this has such a high rating. I went for a friends birthday. The menu is very old school anglo-italian classics. Uninspiring. We all ordered pasta. It all arrived within 5 mins of ordering. Obviously all prepared. Looks taste and texture on all four is very ordinary. My ravioli and sauce is way way worse than the $5 packaged version from aldi a few nights ago. Gluggy flavourless stodge.

Absolutely beautiful experience. The first dine-in experience after the lockdown. I am glad that I went here with friends. The food was amazing, and the vibe was great. Sitting outside by Clarendon St, watching the traffic pass by while enjoying the experience. Staff were super friendly. We got a royale treatment.
