Jinda Thai Restaurant

The vegie red curry sauce was delicious, however there was hardly anything in it. Just a few measly vegetables and tofu. I left hungry.

I've been meaning to visit this place for such a long time and so I was excited when I finally got to try this place out! It was quite spacious but it got really busy right away. We grabbed - Gai Hor Bai Toey - Soft Shell Crab Som Tum - Hor Mok - Deep fried Barramundi with Tamarind Sauce - Soft Shell Crab Salad - Green Curry - Lard From entrees to main, everything tasted amazing. Personally loved Deep fried fish with Tamarind Sauce, Soft Shell Crab Salad, and Lard. I am not too familiar with Thai cuisine but they were all flavourful and extremely delicious. Quite authentic Thai food. The pork skewers (moo ping) was a bit too thick for my liking, but they do have to give u value for money. The fluffy fish (yum Pla Duk Foo) was nice, but would have been nicer with mango instead of apple, it doesn't give the sourness required for this dish. And my favorite was the duck curry, can't really comment on this one's authenticity as never had this type in Thailand. And the best dessert here are the layer crape cakes, would consider it as one of the best in Melbourne (IMO). But still can't find a layer crape cake like the one you get from "Coffee bean by Dao" in Thailand

Food is beautifully presented and there are lots to choose from on the menu. The dishes we ordered are good. Service is prompt. Prices are average. Portions are really really small so if you're a person with average appetite - order an entree, a main and a dessert !

Delicious food, but for me the minced port is way too spicy lollllll Also $20.9 for this size I think is too expensive.

This place is incredible. Great flavours, good amount of spice, very well priced and excellent variety across the dishes. The service is pretty good, especially based on how busy this place gets. Be prepared for a 30 minute wait, but it's well worth it. Highly recommend.

One of the best Thai food I ever had

Very nice place, food is good overall but on the pricey side (small portions). Fish cakes were light and flavourful, the eggs in tamarind sauce really original and delicious, satay pork skewers were a let down, meat was dry and sauce average, the soft shell crab in the curry sauce also average, the sauce was delicious but the crab felt very heavier than other deep fried dishes and the batter had a uncooked flour flavour, really a pity. The som tum thai really tasty and refreshing but small portion for the price tag. I tried one cocktail and not worth the $18. Will explore more the menu next time

Jinda Thai must be the most well-known and highest-rated Thai restaurant in Melbourne, and I was excited to finally see what the hype was about. The venue is large, spacious and clean, with a rustic vibe. The staff are warm and welcoming and the menu is extensive. Our waiter was happy to recommend us their most popular dishes. I enjoyed every single dish which was heaven on my palate, well don Jinda Thai.

Amazing food aroi mak jing jing! kop khun krap i want to come back and try more food sometime.
