Service was alright. Ordered some Tommy's margaritas but they didn't taste quite right (like bottled juice was used instead of fresh). Enjoyed the haloumi baklava and the fish tacos.

Jah bar is a hidden gem on the northern beaches with its prime location giving guests priceless views of the much loved Dee Why beach. This stunning location is coupled with it’s friendly atmosphere and excellent customer service. You can always tell when a restaurant is driven by a strong passion for the cuisine they serve. This family run restaurant brings traditional Spanish dishes into the heart of the northern beaches. I ordered the seafood paella and was amazed with the more than generous amount of seafood within this dish. (Finally a place that gets the ratio of rice to seafood right!). I also ordered the fish tacos and was amazed at the fresh ingredients they use, the kingfish used is light and fresh, topped with beautiful lime juice and a guacamole that made myself who hated avocado love it again! I’m not usually a cocktail lover but after to the lovely bartender with red dreadlocks so recommended I try a whisky sour, this surprised me that she recommended this as it’s a really difficult cocktail to get the ratio right. Nevertheless I tried it, she couldn’t be more right my tastebuds were delighted with the refreshing lime that was welcomed on such a sweltering day, not only that the whisky used was present but not overpowering making my cocktail experience very enjoyable. I was so impressed with the service provided here that made sure the needs of my family and myself were being met, whether that meant noticing that a water bottle level was too low or clearing away dirty plates. It was these little things that really made our families night more enjoyable. After speaking to a waitress about our pleasant night the owner Colin came out and spoke about his many culinary triumphs including revieving chef hats through the Sydney Morning Herald and Guilt Malleau International. We were very happy with our dining experience at Jah Bar and will definitely return very soon !!

Wow, such a lovely experience! Friendly staff, delicious tapas (great flavours) We enjoyed the kingfish, chorizo, tomato salad, zucchini flowers, fish tacos, lamb then Seafood paella followed by delicious desserts (churros & sorbet) I can't decide if my favourite was the kingfish or fish tacos (I also LOVED the paella) My husband raved about the Lamb Hidden Gem on Dee Why beach !

Poor service, waitress was too busy talking to her friend and kept 6 of us including two 3 years old waiting in the sun for 5mins without even acknowledging us. There were a plenty empty tables around no wonder all other places are packed except for them. Menu looks very expensive for what they were and even for beachfront prices.

Tapas was good but the paella was great. The staff were very friendly and squized us in before another booking.
