Hurricane's Grill & Bar Surfers Paradise

My steak was cooked beautifully, best I have had in years. My girlfriend had the Lamb shank, again, cooked beautifully. The service by Archie was excellent. We really enjoyed last night, thanks.

A very busy restaurant and definitely need reservation prior. Came here with my family for a weekend break and was not really as good as what we remembered in Sydney. The ribs were a bit too dry but other than that the food is pretty good and service is not bad.

Amazing location, only surpassed by the food and service. Needless to say when they suggest you wear a bib for eating their epic ribs, just agree and enjoy. Epic feed indeed, and despite the price, as it was so good there were actually a lot of families there too. Will definitely be a must do every time I go to Surfer's Paradise again.

The food was incredible! The servers were so informative and knew so much about the food/wine they were serving. Our particular server was able to recommend beautiful meals and accompanying drinks. Thank you for a great experience.

We’ve been to Hurricanes in Sydney multiples times, so when the wife and I saw it at Surfers we had to go. We went for dinner and ordered the $75pp set menu. This comprised of garlic bread, salt and pepper squid, garlic prawns & rocket, pear, Parmesan salad for entrees and 2 main choices. The entrees were outstanding, the garlic prawns in particular were something special. For the main we ordered a half a rack of pork ribs and the sirloin steak. We asked for the steak to be cooked medium but found it a little under, it was still enjoyable, though it could have used a little more salt. For an additional cost we could have added dessert but after all the entrees and the mains, we were stuffed! My wife ordered a mocktail called a mango tango which was a very refreshing drink and looked really good. The view is one of the best in the Gold Coast, the waitstaff were super friendly and the value and taste of the set menu is definitely worth going back for.

Had to wait 40 minutes before being seated despite the amount of tables free all around us for a table for two. After being seated we hadn't been attended to for our orders for a further 20 minutes. By this time the restaurant was minutes away from closing and everyone had left the restaurant and the atmosphere had been completely sucked out. Not ideal waiting from 7:45pm and eating by 9:45pm. Food overpriced and experience not that great. Good view though I guess.

My burger was a bit dry. Others dining with me also said that their food was just over cooked and a bit dry. All that aside the service was terrible. The young girl was overwhelmed and didn’t have time to be polite. The man at the bar was very polite however and did provide very good service but the damage was done.

Good quality of food and service! Juicy ribs!
