2320 Broke Rd, Pokolbin
Mouth watering range of chocolates!! Two very lovely ladies serving behind the counter
Had a bad experience there as one of the staff member (an old lady) were threatening my daughter as she touched nougat pack in the basket display. She cried loud straight away as the old lady went back in. Look, if nobody can’t touch the products, please don’t display it. And you can just tell me to stop her, not threaten little toddler in front of me. I just didn’t want to create a scene in the shop so I didn’t confront her. I just left all my shopping that I haven’t paid and left. Shop canceled. Not nice at all. I hope it’s not because our Asian look that she behaved like that to us, because she didn’t bother with other children behaviour in the shop.
Desserts and friendly helpful service 10/10.Relaxing atmosphere with expansive view of vineyard...I will visit again from the central coast
This place is a chocolate shop more and less of a factory, by all means. For anyone, who is excited to take kids along, and show them how chocolates are made from scratch, this isn't the place. The view outside is stunning. Chocolates, hmm it says made in Australia (with imported ingredients) which got me thinking "why", when it could be chocolates made in Australia with Australian ingredients, not that chocolates would call for ingredients from Mars, I believe. It is popular in the region as there isn't much competition and they do attract footfalls for pricey chocolates, which have mostly imported ingredients, having said that the chocolates are delicious.
It's a nice shop with a lot of different types of chocolate available. It would be great to see chocolate in making in the "Factory".
May be its a great place for chocolate but not a great place to be felt welcomed. A lady at front deals with different people differently. She is such a bitchfaced lady with so much arrogance. Would have been a great experience for a chocolate but walked out straight. Unwelcomming staff.
The coffee shop two staff members were rude in talking .. they were grabbing the chocolate packs while kids were choosing the packs that they were not placing the packs in places .. kids are suppose to be the biggest customers for a chocolate company while they were innocent in rules of the shop. The staff specially one old lady and one old gentleman do got angry while kids were walking on the floor and touching the chocolate packs.. Kids were upset and we are too.. bad experience and won't visit again Too expensive and we don't like the taste at all .
This place is great. Has all sorts of cute and little made products.
I was really looking forward to visiting as quite a lot of friends had recommended this as a must visit place whilst at Hunter. Unfortunately my experience here was extremely disappointing with numerous encounters of rude and arrogant staff not to mention sub par beverages and dessert. It seems to have turned into an overly priced tourist trap and does not showcase local produce properly anymore.
I found this unfortunately disappointing In raw honesty. To begin with, walking through the doors invites you into a large space with furniture and decor that fails to fit into the room, looking rather awkward and underwhelming. Upon closer inspection, it is found that while some items in the store were aesthetically pleasing, many items failed to have price tags on them, making it inconsistent and inconvenient as a consumer. Staff were less than accommodating and helpful, most just standing behind the counter talking amongst themselves. I personally believe this place is unfortunately something younger travellers Into the Hunter Valley region will also be disappointed with while even the middle aged audience i had observed walking out empty handed.
